With those numbers I'm guessing that car would beat down a VT1 kitted car.

Agreed. I saw a whole bunch of M3/4s at the Performance Center. I now have a soft spot for an Austin Yellow F80. But at the same time, I can't afford one nor do I have any interest in getting rid of the E92 (add, not replace).

Are you sure about that? I have VT-1 kit, and with catless x-pipe i am pushing 580hp at the crank.. I dont think tuned m3/4 will beat down this car. It will be slightly lighter, so it may be close. Not a beat down lol.
Upgraded s65 to vt-2 625 or 650 kit will beat down tuned s55.

I will certainly enjoy lapping them twice a session when new guy comes to the track with one.

Though call, it should be close for me, if I had DCT I'd be very confident about beating the tuned F8x Ms, but the 6-speed tranny is a big disadvantage(accelaration wise) on the S65 that only make big power north of 6500-7000RPM compared to the M3/M4 that will make almost full power from 5000 to 7600RPM!

Just an exemple, I raced my friends stock C63 507 a couple weeks ago from about 40 to 120mph(on a closed road ) and it was a dead even race each time! I have the 535 pulley, test pipes and run 94octane, that should get me close to 575hp, him only has 507hp(in an heavyer car) but he makes more power then me in most of its RPM range, a bit like the S55!

Moral of the story, peak hp is not everything, and also... I'm installing my 550 pulley tomorrow!!

All you SC guys are missing the fact that the TQ numbers are what's going to kill you. Stoplight to stoplight even an SC car is not going anywhere against a new m3.

I disagree with that statement. Early numbers show it is just slightly faster 0-60 by a few tenths, yet it has 200 more ft/lbs.

I think that has more to do with the being able to put that kind of power down. With beefier tires maybe that would really help?

But once that thing gets going.....

Real world application, not numbers. Numbers also say the car should be making much less HP as is stock. We'll see

Nice results, can't wait to see the full potential of the stock turbos.

I wouldn't be comfortable with piggy back.

I'd be interested in seeing how/if BMW addresses these mods and what exactly they're monitoring for.

But doesn't the car with more power always go faster??? That's how it is on the F8x board.

I think that's all that's going to be available for a while. No one's been able to crack the S63tu yet.

Damn it I knew this was going to happen. When you have turbos the power can be increase by 25% or more with such ease...... Looks like this will be alot harder to choose. Im going to miss the V8 sound though if I get the M4. The more and more I look at the m4 the more I like it. This is going to be so tuff after selling my e92M a few years ago I thought that I would pick up another late model 2012-13 but with the new M4s now its making this choice so hard for me.

Who cares about stop light racing!!?

But seriously, I'm not sure having 500wtq in a front engine rwd car will be that much of an advantage in a race from a dig! My M3 has less then 400lb-ft, I'm running PSS 295s, and my 1st gear is almost useless at WOT so I can only imagine what will happen when that boost kicks in in the F8x!
