Wait thats a lease down payment? I thought he was buying it..

Wife told me to buy one if I want so Im in the clear there.. just working out the financials on a purchase.
That's what he said - 4 year lease, 20k down, 10k per year, 1200 per month.

Not for me but you gotta grab what ya love
Actually it'll be a 3 year lease, and I'll refi through my department credit union and keep it.

Well guys, it's official. The build is in, and I'm looking at an estimated Dec 2021/Jan 2022 delivery based on the expected allocation slot. He's going to email me everything shortly. Just....wow!
Woaahhh that escalated quickly!! Congrats man, exciting times, I bet you can't wait! Gonna be a beast of a car

God dammit, now I want one...one day!
Thanks man! It'll be a solid Christmas present to myself.......especially after the rather f'd up year I/we had last year. I think the stress of last year is probably why I didn't drive my F82 much. All the hours worked and the protests/riots just made me become a hermit.
Have you considered not putting any money down and letting it sit in a money market account? You could collect peanuts on interest while using that account to supplement your monthly payments for three years.

The reason I suggest this option would be the unfortunate scenario of an accident and a total loss. In that situation you would walk away with nothing despite having used that 20k as a lease down payment. If you utilized the money market scenario you would have the remaining cash at your disposal.
This is good advice. $20k is a huge downpayment to lose if you get T-boned by a teenager.

Hopefully the market comes back down to earth while GT3 are still being produced.

Calling BS. You'll spend the next three years talking yourself into a GT3
My wallet will change, but not enough to make that a reality. Lol! I could end up eating my shoe though.

Naw! I'm passing on the clear bra.

Though we had met in person once before you were humble enough not to tell me you were a cop. But I really never got a chance to thank one for what they do. So I'll forward it out to you. Thank you for your service man.
Thank you kind Sir!

Where were we when we met?!? I've met so many Bimmer peeps over the years that I've lost track.

You better not use not having a bimmer as an excuse to not say hi next time you're up here!

Congrats on the 992!

PASM is standard but you can get SPORT PASM (SPASM) which lowers the car further by 10-20mm and really sets of the look of the 911.
As others have stated- RAS (rear steering) is a incredible. Its a must have option that will give you much more pleasure compared to CF roof.

Great to see more BMW ppl join P car world.

Simple answer, pecking order and power output. It has always been like this. The GT3RS roughly matches the turbo-S in terms of pricing while the GT2RS tops them all.

Even the base turbo is more expensive than the GT3. I attribute it to the fact that there is more "content" in the turbo/turbo-S than in the GT3 and both are produced in similar volumes. I’ve always found that the GT3 was the performance “bargain” of the 911 lineup. I just wish they’d make it with rear seats

His words at ±0:40-0:50 about how you get in the GT3, drive off and it immediately feels like home is exactly what my father said it was like after ripping a 991.2 RS around a track. Immediate joy and confidence in the car. That was after getting out of a 488 Pista, having never driven either before.

Clear bra shouldn't mess up the paint if it is installed and removed correctly.

While the product does make a difference, (Suntek/Llumar, Stek, Xpel), usually the installer is what counts. A bad installer will mess things up and cut your car if they are dumb.

Uhh depends on what you do honestly and the installer also would price things variously but usually better installers will price them slightly higher as they have far more experience doing it.

- Full Front is usually $1,500 give or take.
- Track Package (Full Front, wheel arcs, front two pillars plus a bit more) is usually a little over $2k to $3k
- Full car can cost you between $4k to 5k.

For me, I have done it since my M4 and I haven't regretted doing it. It did already save my paint of my M3. When it comes to clear bra stuff, never cut corners. If the dude you ask, give you a low price then most likely he isn't going to do a very good job. That has been universal when it comes to stuff like this.

Edit: It also does count how much paint prep they do. Clear bra installs do not require a lot of paint correction as the clear bra itself would cover and hide the imperfections, so it's easier on them. It isn't like putting on a coating as that requires a lot of paint correction.

Congrats Sedan your build looks beautiful. The aero kit on the 992 is a must and looks sooooo good. While BMW M cars are fantastic, there is just something about a Porsche.
