Transmission Issue
I just got a 2015 M4 and I am still trying to get used to the DCT. I am not sure if my car has transmission problems or I am just not used to the DCT, but whenevr I am driving in 3rd and hit the gas to reach around 3k rpms, once I let go of the throttle, the car starts to shake. This only happens when im in comfort mode and level 1 shifting mode.
Has anyone else had this experience before or is it normal? |

I get this shake too and I have a 2019, it's like the car is barely introducting enough fuel/throttle to keep the car from stalling. My only fix is to either add more gas during that specific situation or brake if I am coming to a stop.
A 100% way to eliminate it is to either drive it in Manual Mode or Put the transmission in D2 or D3 as these modes keep the engine in a higher RPM.

It’s interesting to read this as my daily driver mode to work is D1 and comfort everything.
My friend recently got a 2019 F82 comp and he said exactly the same thing. We both wish it would change down to 2nd sooner rather than going so slow in 3rd It’s my only small critism of the amazing gear box. |

Have you driven a manual transmission? Any car bogs at too low rpm.
I'm guessing you are not talking about the engine braking but rather the "bucking bronco" symptom. If so, it's natural. Just drive in manual and keep the rpm up like it is designed to.

Whenever I hear shake at certain engine rpm’s, I think driveshaft centering bushing. The problem starts off as just a little vibration, then it progressively gets worse, then it becomes insidious. I’m referring to this…
