Hi guys, a few questions.

i recently installed the MP HAS kit and read that there were significant improvements if the car has the ilevel updated.

Checked mine, and it's still on F020-17-07-502.

Problem probably is, i'm running a custom BM3 tune for my upgraded turbo's and a lot of other codings like TC, MDM coding.

Will i loose all this if i'm going to a newer version or is it impossible with the custom tune?
If so, is there a way to only update the EDC software to the latest?

Contact kubax86 he’ll get your squared away and can update specific modules such as CS EDC parameters, Euro MDM, GTS trans etc without messing with your DME tune.

Yesterday I went to the BMW dealer for a update of the car (I-Level). They could see that it still had the original software (F020-14-07-502). Current version is: F020-23-07-530. So went up 9 years in software. Last night, I tested it thoroughly and what a transformation with this new software, it feels like a completely different car, really unbelievable. Below are some findings per component.

DCT
Biggest change
Faster shifting times in all modes
Much smoother. Previously, shifting from 3-2 and 2-1 was sometimes jerky in Sport, but that's completely gone now.
Quicker from D to R
Less clunking from D to R

Suspension
More comfortable
Car feels more stable on the road in Sport+

ASD (speaker sound)
Less present/loud. It sounds a bit more natural now

Engine
Power is distributed better, less torque at the bottom and stronger at the top.
The torque spike is much less noticeable, power comes in more progressively

Heads-up-display
In M-mode, the color has changed from grey to blue for better visibility

ESP + M Dynamic Mode
ESP on + MDM allows much more slip

Differential
More initial grip instead of oversteer. Seems to come from the diff which locks better
Power gets better to the road

Steering
Less heavy in Sport+
More natural
Zero point improved, sometimes pulled to one side

Exhaust
Seems to be slightly louder

Also tested if the DME is now bench-locked but it doesn't seem to be the case. My F80 is from 2014 so probably old ECU. So in the long run, I can also tune with MHD. Happy
