Anyone can recommend nice driving roads in illinois or near by

Was hoping for some recommendations on where we could find some nice winding roads to enjoy. We live in Chicago, but would be willing to drive out somewhere to enjoy the cars. Any recommendations? Thanks

It’s pretty short but I run the ravines on Sheridan road from Evanston to Lake Bluff. Beautiful drive but tons of bicyclists. There is one spot that my wife especially hates. 😜

Thanks. Appreciate you posting. Was hoping for something where we could stretch the legs. Sounds like that's not the right place for that to be safe.

Drive to Galena but take the local route. Butterfield all the way to the Mississippi and then go north. Beautiful drive, some elevation, bunch of curves. Truly a great drive.

Was going to recommend Galena as well. Didn't know Butterfield went all the way out there. I've just taken the highway since it's a longer drive to get out there.

It's a little bit of a haul but the area around starved rock always is a good go to.
