Anybody know what size lug nut this is. It's from a 2019 M4 CS and the previous owner had Macht Schnell wheel spacers 10mm in the front. It is longer than than the OEM lug nut size. The end of it is a bit cross threaded so I need to replace it. I also got a M14x1.25 tap so when I replace the lug nut should I rethread it using that as well or just try using the new lug nut

Ouch! That has a good bit of threads gone.

Stock has a 28mm shank (threaded part) so add 10mm for your spacers, and look for 38mm shanks.

Try without the tap first. You don't want to remove any metal since that's what holds your lugs tight. If you do use the tap and there's any "wiggle room" then consider replacing the wheel carrier. Hopefully your worst case is some lug metal stuck in the carrier threads that the tap can easily clean out.

I wouldn't consider tracking the car (especially a CS) without 100% confidence in every lug.

Would a 40mm one work?

Sounds close enough without being too far over.
