M Performance HAS
I am in absolute FEAR of what BMW Australia might be charging for this. Coilover prices for springs.. no doubt!!
Having said that you can land a full set from O/S here for around 2k AUD. Has anyone gotten a price (inc install / software) thru a local dealer? |

Local price is closer to 4k plus install. Yup, insane.
Essentially the same kit that comes from KW (HAS). Why not go that route for about $2200 fitted?

Sadly BMW Australia just simply don't get it. I would say most M3/4 owners can probably afford this type of upgrade. However, and from my perspective at least, i just wont be taken for a ride. Its a matter of principle!! KW HAS it is then... BMW's loss in the end as another customer goes elsewhere. |

What about sourcing yourself e.g. from getbmwparts (https://www.getbmwparts.com/partloca...catalogid=4462) and having BMW fit it? You'd be looking at $1650 parts plus $500 freight at a guess, $350 import duty and $500 fitted = $3000. With warranty I would think but talk with your service team first.

Hi guys. I am US-based. I can forward MPHAS to you if you want. I don't know whether the domestic parts suppliers will accept a foreign credit card with a US shipping address but if they do, you can have them shipped to me and also email me prepaid UPS or FedEx shipping labels and I slap those on the boxes and drop them off at their respective drop-off centers; both are within a few miles of my house.
I would be doing this as a favor to my fellow enthusiasts. No fees. Probably can't do it on a regular basis but dropping off a few packages to a collection site this once isn't a big deal. Respond in this thread if you're interested. I will subscribe and keep an eye on it. Will be much easier than responding to individual PMs.

What about Scheidmann out of Germany:
https://www.schmiedmann.com/en/bmw-f...?q=33502414216 $1,130 Euro = $1,760 AUD Freight is about $250 AUD the last time i looked. Estimate local fitting around the $750 AUD mark from a suspension shop. So total around $2,800 AUD delivered and fitted? |

could not fathom how shortening the stroke of the already crap oe sachs shocks would improve the dampening
the springs aren't the problem in the oe setup, it's the shocks far better option is to put the money towards a complete shock + spring setup imo or wait and see if the bilstein b16 ddc shocks and coilover kits hit the market as promised in jan 18 - just swapping the sachs shocks out with bilstein b16 ddc shocks (around 2500 in parts) and keeping your stock springs would do wonders for improving the dampening quality - this is something i'm keen to explore |

Get BMWparts will "ship" if you arrange the courier to pick up. I did this and had fitted at North Shore BMW. They re-did the fitment, coding, etc. I've had no issues.

Hey mate, I am with you, I'm keen to get the bilstein B16 EDC shocks. Are they meant to be released in Jan 18? Who told you that is the release date? |

- b4 oe replacement shocks - b6 oe replacement shocks which are marketed as an upgrade to stock - b16 coilover kit with b6 shocks and matching springs I've enquired via US distributor and UK and both said Jan 18 - the delay is around the rear shocks, you can actually buy b6 oe replacement front shocks right now but it's not advisable to run them without the matching rear Now having said that, bilstein have been pushing back this full release for 18 months now, so the pessimist wouldn't put much faith in that jan 18 release |

domino_z will these Bilstein spring/shock options allow for any lowering?
For example, will there be a spring option offering a similar drop to H&R Sport for example?
