The Eagle has landed....
Finally! Seems like an age since ordering but picked up from Park Lane on Monday. First impressions....wow! Just a cracking package and so far removed from my 435d. Just a completely different machine that means business; no fucking about. If comparing to dogs, my mapped 435d was a tubby Labrador forced to go for a run every other day. This is a Doberman with an attitude problem!
PS Post PPF and it sounds just fine and others have said it sounds great on the road and really quite grown up. PCW Exhausts next month to open it up a bit more. |

I see you’ve got all the MP internal trimmings ... what about exterior? I have only the diffuser on mine and have been persuaded to not fit the MP spoiler I bought as I had one on my last F82 and it looked a bit ‘tacked’ on.
I like the steering wheel in particular ... might need to get me one of those? |

Looks beautiful! did you add the carbon bits inside? I'd like to get that arm rest too as mine was grubby when I picked it up!
Have you done anything with the holes in the bumper from where they put the number plate on? I like to take mine off but the original dealer managed to put 7 holes in the bumper! and with my colour the holes stick out like a sore thumb! |

Looks great Tony
I'd be tempted by the alcantara armrest- is that a bmw part? I've come out of denial on the mods... just bought ACS RS coilovers! I also had mine at SRR on Sunday where it put out 497bhp with a box on, but 477bhp as standard! Started to really bond with it now, probably more as the roads have got greasier and it's given me more 'fun moments'!

Did the CF interior bits on my last one ... still deciding whether to go for them on the new one. I’d be interested in your before and after shots for the exterior CF. I have a spoiler in my garage but after having one on my last M4, I am really unsure it improves things. The diffuser for sure - I love that... R. |

The wheel is very straight forward.
10mm to disconnect the neg terminal in the boot. Flat head screwdriver to poke in the two slots behind the wheel to release the airbag. Pop that off and put it safe. 16mm to undo the wheel (two connectors to release). The wheel only goes on in one position so no issues not aligning it. Undress the wheel (take a photo of it first so you can see where the wiring routes), remove paddles. Pop it all in the new wheel. Refit and torque the wheel back up, airbag on and reconnect battery. There are a couple of great vids on youtube (Ind have so very good 'how to'). All in all about an hours job tops. |

Nice, SMB lovely colour.
I had PCW mod on my M5, got on my tits after a few months so got a local place to put it back to standard. I’ve always thought my F80 M3 was plenty loud enough standard. Their is a guy near me with a modded exhaust on his M4 and it sounds way too loud and boy racer. I must be getting old! |

My M4 is a daily driver and the current sounds are just fine for me most of the time.

for me I found the exhaust too quite on the top end so had the x-pipe fitted, it is a bit to loud with the secondary cat delete but its like stock with the valves closed in efficient.
I had the PCW mod on my M5 and it was great (did you have the valves taken out?) and it was loud when I wanted, as I had a remote for the valves! but people told me it was loud when I thought it was being quite lol. my neighbours have told me the M3 is quieter! as when I was catless in the M5 cold starts early morning I felt such an asshole! |

Looks amazing, congratulations.
How have you fitted the tablet and what software is it running?

This looks amazing!
Good to know Cotswolds can do a good deal on the CF parts. I test drove an M4CP last weekend and loved it, big step up form my 335i. When I enquired about the exterior carbon pack the dealer says BMW sent out a notification that exterior carbon pack from factory has stopped immediately, but the dealer will fit it after at a cost of £3k. Might check with another dealer whether they say the same or not. Either way, might be a nice DIY job if its not too bad. |

Thank you. Its a Samsung tablet and it runs Car Launcher 2.4 as the home screen with OBDLink LX as my ODB and perf app, Bimmercode and various other apps such as GoPro, Canon camera, Blackview Dashcam, Harrys perf app, Dragy etc. Its mounted on a spare trim piece I converted using a rudimentary bracket and magnetic holders (metal plate attached to back of tablet) for easy removal. Its a gadget
