They must had done a several 0-60mph or faster full throttle runs.

Damn dude that sucks and you have the patience of a saint to put up with it. I would of thrown some rocks through the windows of the dealership to start with...

Sounds incompetent and negligent and not something to be expected, I suggest you contact HQ and get some compensation. Not sure if a single wash could leave swirl marks on a newly detalied car. sucks!

Sounds like bad dealer experience for sure.

when my car goes in for service the mpg always is poorer than when i drive it, i expect it idles for a long time for this and that which would account for it. Taking the customers car out and joy riding may happen but if you service many m cars on a regular basis it is work and I don't thing there can be that much joy had in a 10 min ride in any car if you do it several times a day?

M cars are very rare in my country. Even 430 and 435 are a rare sight. When I go to the dealership I never see another M car and the tech guys start staring at mine commenting stuff between them.

I always thought Portugal was wealthier then Poland? I see M cars all the time at my local dealership. Are you in a small city?

When was production of yours? Mine was also delayed - ordered end of August, and production Oct 29th. Delivery to me around the 14th (Poland). I have had similar thing with the DCT 2 times, where it kind of stuttered and let the rpms drop too low but this was within first 100km of driving the car so I kind of chalked it up to the break-in period for transmission. I'm up to 420km now and haven't had the issue again. Really the only problems i've been having are that the seatbelt doesn't have the little butler that hands you it when you get in like in the E92 M3, and movable center console is too easy to move.

I guess it's mostly due to high taxes on cars. A base M4 MSRP starts at 111k EUR. Running costs are also very high.

We have 18,6% excise tax on cars over 2.0L and 23% VAT. In Poland M4 starts at 89k euro brutto after this excise tax already. Mine was 117k euro catalog and just shy of 94k selling price with pretty much every option except ceramics. All bmws here are sold with service-inclusive for 5 years and insurance came out to 2200 euro for the first year so besides the fuel I wouldn't say the running costs here at least are that high.

UPDATE: About the DCT issues. BMW brought another M4 with the new gasoline particle filter and it has the same behavior. Previous model year M4s without the particle filter do not have this issue. They said they'll send the info to BMW and they'll work on it.

As if I didn't hate the particle filter enough because it muffles the exhaust easily by 50% now there's also this. Brilliant.

Yeah but... why did they need to put 10 miles on it? That’s a lot unless they are troubleshooting a real gremlin.

They actually did a bit over 300 miles total "to verify the noises in the interior". That's how they ruined the leather dash, trying to fix the noises. And the noises are exactly the same. Won't ask them again though, I'll fix them myself.

can i ask what ceramic paint protection you got? i have ceramic pro "9H". i would expect that something of that hardness should be able to withstand a manual or even an auto car wash with cloth. yes there might be fine granules scratching the surface but the point is that the ceramic should be so hard it doesn't scratch.
