That's almost exactly what I pay for my 17 M3 w/ Comp pkg. I'm probably a bit older than most here and I also have 2 other cars and my house running through the same insurance company.

These rates for so Cal are unheard of. My '17 R8 v10 plus is "only" $170/month. Cheaper than Mustang insurance, haha

For those of you in California, I really recommend you look into Wawanesa insurance. They were the cheapest and the best insurance I ever had.

They were quoting me the cost of the entire year for what all insurance companies were quoting 6 months! I didn't even have to mess with my coverage to lower the cost. I had full coverage low deductibles.

Sounds pretty dumb but I was pretty bummed when I found out that they only have coverage in CA and OR when I moved.

I have two cars and homeowner's with State Farm and pay $1500/6 mo for auto. It's $160/mo for 2016 M3 and $100/mo for 2011 CR-Z.

I switched to State Farm about 6ish months ago after Progressive jacked up my premium twice over two renewals. I anticipated the first increase due to the accident, but the second increase 6 months after the accident wasn't something I expected.
Just switched to Erie- now paying $180/mo total for both cars- $110/mo for M3. Also about $150 less on homeowner's with them. Altogether, it's about $1100 less annually.

Recently moved from Illinois to California. I was shocked to find out that I have to pay double the amount for car insurance. Wawanesa gave me the best rate by far.

Wisconsin rates are up there like IL as well. I pay $135/mo for my 2018 M3 (81k). I have no tickets or accidents in the past 20 years and am 50 years old. Was the best I could find too. Seems odd to me that Cali rates are so cheap, I’d have guessed the opposite.

Since nobody is posting their limits or deductibles it's impossible to compare. There's a big difference between 15/30 and 250/500, same with deductibles.

Hmmm. Looks like I need to shop.

29 zero accidents or tickets. 305/month with Erie.

I should mention it's a commercial policy with mid level coverage and $500 deductible. Located in the Philly market.

I can't see the fact that the car being in the business name can account for almost a $210 premium over others here. I get that there's a small bump but not THAT much

So many factors affect the rate. This thread is pretty worthless since nobody is posting location, number and age of drivers, actual coverage and deductible.

I have Geico, and pay 1000 for 6 month comprehensive. This is also discounted because we have 5 cars and 3 drivers.

mark it depends on how long you've had your license for. I'm 22 with no tickets at all and I pay 112 per month for full coverage with $500 deductibles. I"ve had a license since 15 and when I bought my f80 (i bought it brand new, Nov 2017) I was paying 143 per month but I negotiate my rate between companies every 6 months. Look into discounts that companies offer and work your way to them. If you have any questions pm me
