Where to get a hardcopy of the sales brochure?

I may be a total nerd, but I like to collect all new car sales catalogs for all the cars that I bought new and used.

When I bought my F80 in December, dealer told me that BMW USA no longer prints and distributes hard copies to dealers. My SA then emailed me a PDF version.

I then went to another local dealer and got the same story.

I simply can't believe I bought a $78K car that the manufacturer cuts corners and saves money from printing sales catalogs. I could pick up an Accord catalog from any local Honda dealer.

Any advice or insights on getting one?

Rant over...

I found a US brochure for my 2016 M4 on eBay. I also found a UK brochure as well. It looks like it's still available: https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-M3-M4-C...EAAOSwHLNZT9qI

When I lived in Detroit as a kid, I couldn't wait until the fall when I could ride my bike to all of the dealers and get brochures for all my favorite cars. This was the era of the Detroit muscle cars.

When I bought my 2000 S2000 new, I got a brochure from my dealer. I started collecting S2000 brochures for MY 2000 from all over the world, including the UK, Germany, Japan, Italy, and Sweden, which I found on eBay. I was able to get a brochure every year from my Honda dealer for the entire model run.

For my wife's 2011 335is Coupe I found a brochure on eBay and was able to pick up a German brochure when we did the Euro Delivery for her car. During the Euro Delivery for my M4 I was also able to pick up a German brochure for it. German dealers have racks and racks of brochures, US dealers, not so much.

Try EBay. I have bought some brochures/sales catalogues on eBay.

I got the same response when I was looking to order my M as well... figured I would try the source, when i did ED delivery. Sure enough, The Welt still has hard copies, but maybe they aren't shipping to US or other countries? Ebay will be your best bet.

or more likely, BMWNA has decided not to print them.

Remember that BMW jacks parts prices up significantly to BMWNA who then sell to Dealerships.

That way you get much higher priced parts than in EU and BMW makes twice the profit off you.

This is likely where your dealer got the PDF:

I KNOW. The car should cost $80k so we can all have printed catalogs!

Besides the engine, drivetrain, body, and mechanical parts, Honda doesn't cut any corners!

I got a hard copy at a dealer about a year or so ago:

Edit - just noticed it says "printed in 2014" on the back so guess they had it for a while.

Had this same catalog and cut out 10 good images and taped them on my office wall, along with the original wing to my SSII F80 over all the images. Love taking a gander at that particular space every now and again. It takes people a few minutes to figure out what the wing is.

Sucks. I asked for one at time of order and when car came in I had my brochure. Salesman offered no guarantees, but when he did get it, he said he had to call in some favors to get it.

They do have an Individual brochure. I got one from one of my dealers last year. They only got 10, reserved for "select, special" customers. Not sure how I got one!
