Unusual staining on the CF roof

Hi all,

I have this unusual staining on the CF roof of my 2yr old M4. Not sure how this has occurred. I do not use any poor quality products to clean it. Mostly Auto Glym or Maguires. Please advise? Thanks in advance

Difficult to tell from the photos - have you tried any mildly abrasive polish on it?

Yep, I tried that today - made the most of the weather to clean the car as it was warm but no direct sunlight. I tried a few other products but no luck

I’m starting to think so too - it’s very bumpy to the touch. It’s still under warranty so I’m wondering if the dealer can sort this out for me...

Have you tried clay bar yet? Otherwise ask the dealer to sort.

Raised bumps, I haven’t got a machine polish but I did try to do it by hand with a bit of force. No luck

Not tried clay bar actually, will give it a shot. I’m planning on rocking up to the dealer on the weekend - I have a feeling they may kick up stink regarding the products I’ve used to brush me off..

From your pics it certainly looks like a lacquer issue. They can say what they want as regards products you've used... bottom line is faulty manufacturing so warranty.
Why even try yourself? I don't understand why you would. It's faulty. From the pics anyway.
