Do you have any other exhaust mods or just the midpipe?

Just the midpipe. Drop in BMS filters too, if that counts

Wow, I think this sold me on the mid pipe then. I have BMC filters so essentially identical.

Correction… I have BMC filters just like you (I make the mistake of writing BMS all the time)

Awesome!
Got them on today! Pretty dramatic sound difference under load and deeper at idle. I have VRSF downpipes and drop-in filters with Bootmod3 Stage 2 93 multimap tune. May have to drop a gear lower on the highway when I want to quiet it down. Definitely more fumes but I expected that. I feel the extra horsepower and the faster revs. Quiets down nicely in efficient mode. Of course any pops and bangs are sharper and louder if you have those turned on.

A few things about the install:
1. No instructions so used AA pdf I found online.
2. Had to make cut 1 inch from weld not the 1.5 in the AA instructions.
3. One of the pipes was dented in but it was in the end and was able to be hammered out.
4. My AA exhaust tips are sticking out further now but that should be fine.

The price was right and they look and sound great. Looking forward to the next commute!

I have VRSF downpipes as well. Did the midpipe make it sound more raspy? Also is the fumes really noticable now? Thinking about getting this midpipe soon.

I haven't driven it enough yet to know for sure, but I had a good impression on the drive home. If it's raspy then it's a mean and racy sound
that really sounded good when we revved it just after the install. I mainly don't want a tin can sound and I think you get that with some of the expensive and light mufflers. I'm keeping the heavy stock muffler. I've read people who have had no or little noticeable fumes. but I don't see how that's possible when removing all cats. Did install new gaskets at the downpipe connection to the midpipe. Not sure how livable it is yet. I'm planning to get a truck as a daily eventually and keep stepping up the aggression on the F80 but we'll see.

I've had time to experience the midpipe now and like my new setup. Pops and bangs were too much for downtown driving so I turned off burbles 100% in Bootmod3 and I'm really liking the smoother sound but the downshifts (DCT on setting 3) sound really mean now and I can hear the turbo spooling better. Definitely fumes but I think going to efficient mode at stop lights helps a bit. I can feel the exhaust through the accelerator more and it's definitely a more racy sound and feel.

I finally got mine installed, I followed some guy on YouTube instructions and cut 1.5 inches. I definitely think for this exhaust 1 inch cut would be better, took me forever to get everything lined up. Sounded good but I have not gotten to drive it much.

Hey Info@mad-us.com you guys told me that the midpipes were in stock, so I ordered one and then 12 hours later they magically went out of stock. Was really hoping to get one before 12/18. Can you help?

Reporting back after putting some miles on the midpipe and I love it. I have the stock exhaust and in comfort/efficient mode it is nearly silent. There was 0 drone on my 30 minute commute to work. With the valves open the sound is there and there is slight drone, but not annoying. I have a few in car videos I'll upload when I get a chance. Overall I think this exhaust is a good choice. I don't mind the smell of 0 cats, the burbles are too much now though and I'll have to turn them down or shorten the length of the burble. Hopefully this made some sense as I feel like I started rambling.
