Selecting M DTC settings using console buttons vs. using M Drive buttons

So it is pretty obvious that the M1 and M2 buttons are basically used as shortcut keys to switch over to user pre-defined settings with a single push of a button. However, I could swear I always feel like the car feels more responsive in M modes vs arriving at the same settings using the individual buttons. For example, for daily driving I use Sport/Comfort/Comfort. I can choose this option either by 5 clicks of three different buttons or a single click of the M1 button. However, the latter feels more responsive I know it's all in my head but anyone else experience this as well?

Definitely in your head, yes.

However, ignorance is bliss. I'll bet your radio stations would sound louder and clearer if you selected those manually too. Maybe try it out.

Off topic, but my tach doesn't show the icons for the steering, suspension, etc. Mine is a '15. Probably a software update is needed?

No. You change it in the idrive under settings>Display. You sat one year on this?

Purchased the car in November. Got to drive it about 400 miles and it's been in storage waiting for snow to melt. Thanks for the heads up on the iDrive settings; I'll take a look.
