OP (and others)......seriously, go into settings and turn the sound down all the way. It is amazing and simple. If my stereo is on, I don't even hear it anymore.

Now if this is just for when you are sitting in the car I can understand but why would you even think about driving a high performance sports car with no seatbelt on?
I always wear my seatbelt when driving. However, I coded passenger auditory chime off (keeping cluster indicator) because my 5lb notebook will set it off.

Seat Belt Chime won't stop even when I am wearing my seltbelt!

Hi,
I have a 2015 BMW 328i that just went off certified pre owned warranty last week at the end of October. The seat belt chime keeps going even when I am wearing my seat belt and it's just me in the car! If I drive 50 miles on the highway, it will usually come on about twice and last for a minute or two and then go off. I took it into my dealer and after a $150 diagnosis fee, they couldn't find any problems and they only turned down the sound to where it's annoying instead of drive-me-nuts loud. How do I find someone to code it for me in the Columbus, Ohio area? I don't have any fix it yourself skills so if someone could help guide me to where to get it coded or how to get this fixed I would be extremely grateful as this is super annoying. Thanks!

look into the bimmercode app. https://bimmercode.app/
super simple to use and it won't impact your warranty.

app cost: ~$30
wifi obd2 adapter: ~$15 (amazon)

there's no 'coding' required.
pair your phone with the obd2 adapter, open the app, select a couple options, find the item(s) you want to update, click-click, save.

there are plenty of youtube videos, fb groups and regional support if you need it.
