I ordered right around the 29th of September. I think it was originally slated for week 46 production but went into production week 44 or 45. finished production in 1.5 weeks and is now sitting on the dock.. So at this point I am about 1.5 months in with probably another 20-30 days to go... all in all 2.5 months. That seems like a lot now that I lay it out.. |

Kind of a random question but how long did it take to even show your configuration on that page? My CA gave me my production number which I used to track on bmwusa .. It shows the car but says order being processed and the options aren't listed.

One thing I did learn is that the website may be delayed. I think it updated for me on a Thursday and I instantly texted my CA to share my joy of it being in production. He then sent back that he knew since Monday... To which I replied "don't you think that is something I would like to know when it happens???" but that's another story.... Stay on top of it and sometimes your CA and the 800-831-1117 people have more updated info. Hope that helps |

Hmmm, not sure. I thought all of the west coast cars went through the Panama Canal to a west coast port of entry. Can't imagine they would truck it coast to coast. Not sure though.

I think that's right too. The west coast cars take twice as long for shipping because of that trip down thru the canal and back up the other side, it's almost a straight shot across for the east coast cars and they usually don't ride the same boats from what I've seen. My port of delivery is Port Hueneme (PHMPOA) like yours...

Placed my order Nov 1st and it went straight into production Nov 2nd. As of today the phone tracking says production has finished. Wondering how long it takes to get to the port and are these boats on any schedule? By the sound of it all our cars have finished production within 1-2 days of each other. I don't want to miss a boat of there is one scheduled cause then you could be sitting on the dock for ages it seems... This wait is killing me lol
Mine is an east coast delivery |

Just called the status number and it said that my m4 is at the port and waiting for a vessel. Hopefully it will find it's way onto the next ship soon. Might be on the same ship with some of you guys

I am not sure about Canada but in the US you can follow the thread below: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=967058 If the same tracking information is not available on your webpage you can also use the 1-800-831-1117 and track your vehicle that way as well (may have a different number for Canada, you should be able to get that off the BMW CA website if it is. Hope that helps, I look at this crap 3 or 4 times a day... driving me nuts! |

Agreed, but the others don't seem to carry as much volume to the west coast from the little I can find (albeit not that much)... have you found anywhere to determine/track if you end up on a carrier other than WW, Kline or NYK for example? |

Yea I've been calling the 800 number daily too, just talked to them in fact and still same status awaiting vessel, no more info available....she did say that the wheel retrofit delay is basically done and they're under the impression that they're making an effort to move a lot of those cars out before ones that have arrived at port more recently... which makes sense I guess, but no good for me... guess it could also mean your original car ships before your new car? let's hope not...
