Yes, an alternate color was offered when the request for approval was put in. But that color really wasn't close enough to what I specifically wanted.

Funny, the ONLY thing that kept me from ordering an individual color (Frozen Black, so no R&D involved, but still extra cost and extra wait) was the the extra wait time.

Good luck with getting exactly what you want, and good luck dealing with that wait! Heh.

Reveal looking forward to this. It's is a little funny because people don't do this on cars in Norway. We have very few individual cars and by that I mean the normal individual colors. I have worked at the biggest BMW dealership for 7-8 years and once we talked to somebody at r&d to get a different color at the footwell.

I am going to New York I April, if you see a strange guy going nuts when you are driving around it could be me!

Im back after a 30 day ban

Since my incarseration my color request has been approved by the uber individual designers at BMW! The color, Rosso Fiorano is as follows

While impatiently waiting on the progress of my M4 order and fuming over the ban, I found a great example of a classic BMW I've been searching for some time now.. an E21 320i. A 1982, completley original and very close to my home. My parents owned one when I was a child and I've had a connection to them since. I am picking her up next weekend! Im not sure why but the E21's haven't yet received the credit and love they deserve. While everyone is e30 crazed, I've always thought of the e21's to have been a better design (aesthetically) following the classy 3.0 cs and e28. either way I have taken advantage of a premium example for pennys and planned an outlaw project. A built S52 (estimated at 330whp) matted with a Getrag 240G (from an E46 M3) will be paired and renforced by Prime Motorsports, P1 Motorsports and NRG Tech. A full body restoration and respray is planned as well. Im thinking something bold, like Java green but Im undecided. Anyway, its been a long 30 days. Ill keep you guys posted.

P.S. An eye for an eye...
