IMO a hiatus of this length likely means retooling of the production line (such as paint booth).

David said this is correct. If you have a production number already you are fine

Is time running out to order? If I end up ordering in January, am I screwed? I don't want any individual options - it's pretty straightforward and stripped down.

If i were to get an allocation, Could i still do delivery in June? or is there a max timeframe where ED must be delivered by? I assume february allocation could have a delivery date closer to the summer?

Also, does anyone know the dates the BMW factory is shut down during the summer?

It all comes down to whether or not your dealer has an allocation. You may find a dealer with an allocation with a pre-hiatus build date that hasn't been spoken for. That being said, I'd start contacting dealers immediately.

That's the message here. It's a production stop in March, not get your order in by March. You need to be ordering NOW from dealers with January or February allocations.

I'm glad I pulled the trigger last year!

This is such a dream crusher! Since I live in the Great Lakes I was planning to order the vehicle in late Jan/early Feb and do a PCD pickup in the spring. Wasn't planning to do anything individual but looks like that won't be happening anymore.

But thanks for confirm guys!

Can you confirm the 4 month shutdown doesn't effect the F82?
