Robert Mitchell of Apex Academy reaction to new M3/M4
Just came across this. Apex runs a Nurburgring taxi for those not familiar.
There was a recent vid of Robert Kubica driving Misha around the ‘Ring. |

BMW is spending more money on marketing damage control than they would have on a different grille. When else have we seen the comp model with the best mods up their sleeves 2 days after just the announcement of the standard versions? And the deleting of negative posts going on Bimmerpost, this is nuts!...I'm not sure 1/2 the accounts on the G80/82 section aren't paid marketers themselves...
300-500# up, VF slush box, fake fender vents, out of place splitter, persistent front arch gap would have been all overlooked if it just looked like an iterative BMW thing...best if luck to them and those that buy it I wish you the best and hope you love it.

Saw this the other day. Reasonable perspectives from long-time bmw M enthusiasts.
I'm in their court. Combination of bemusement and frustration.

The best point made is that BMW heard the feedback from enthusiasts - we don’t want this. They heard it, and pressed ahead despite it. Now enthusiasts will move on to something else (I know I will). Good luck BMW. You will have to get me back.
