I had a different positive experience, I replaced a seat bottom on my E92 M3 and they warned me, might not match...it was a match easily. I think you should get the replacements and make the call then, worst case, put back the current ones. No harm no foul, right?
Hm haven't really thought of it like that I suppose...

there is no way I would let this drag on for this long if it was my car. I would of called the insurance company the next day and if they didn't cover it, I would of ordered the seat covers, foam and door panels right away. I wont even worry about the dye match since the car is so new. I would only worry about matching if the car is a few years old.
