New AW M3 CS

I just picked up a new AW CS M3 last Saturday.

I'd been planning on the F90 M5 as my next car. I test drove the M5 and I love the performance, but I just couldn't fall in love with the boring exterior. I visited my local BMW dealer last Saturday and fell in love with the CS immediately when I laid eyes on it. I initially wanted an M5, or a used GT3, or used GTS, I never intended to go back to a M3 since I previously had an M4. But after I saw it I was in love, the next thing I remember was leaving the dealer in the CS, it all happened so fast and unexpectedly, which is not my normal behavior.

My M4 had an ESS Tune and Dinan coilovers with a few other mods. The CS feels faster, more planted, and handles better than my M4 ever did. The interior finish our also feels very special with all of the Alcantara and M colored stitching. I've already ordered KW HAS and wheel spacers to fix the wheel gap and a couple of other cosmetic mods - all to be installed next Thursday. I'm debating a satin matte black wrap, while the AW on the CS looks fantastic with the contrast, I've always preferred black cars. I'll make my final decision about the wrap after my Springs and spacers are installed next week.

I only had one moment of buyers remorse, yesterday when I was driving home behind a 991.2 GTS in Agate Grey. But I do love the M3 CS and I'm happy with my choice, for 24 more months anyway, then it's time for my upgrade to a P car

My only annoyance with AW is how much it hides the GTS hood in our cars. So the satin black wrap would accentuate everything a lot more. But then you have another satin black M3 which is pretty common. Do what makes you happy and you’ll enjoy it either way!

Congrats. You acknowledged the more planted feel and amazing handling but then you ruin it by immediately adding springs

Yep. Gotta have that aggressive stance

. I don't think it will "ruin" it tho. Read some post of another CS owner adding KW's, he reported it being stiffer but handling just as good. If it does "ruin" it, I would return to the factory setup.

Tell me how often during the day your car gets lit from the side, below the hood crest line, with no fill light from any other direction?

For every photo of my car like that, I have 1,000 of mine in the middle of day and I couldn't tell I have a GTS hood.

I highly highly recommend the Emmanuel design springs. They are the only springs that get rid of the nasty reverse rake. Your not from central Florida are you?! I saw a white f80 with temp tag today in Orlando.

Not trying to make my car look like a CS by any means. I just happen to love the GTS hood. Rest of my car is OEM M Perf CF bits
