Cleaning 666 wheels

How's difficult is to clean the 666 wheels with so many spokes?

Any cleaning videos out there?

Definitely a b*tch to clean. In addition to all the spokes, they have a 3/4 inch groove all the way around behind the spokes perfectly placed for brake dust collection. Is it worth the hassle - absolutely! Love the look of the 666.

Do a search for “wheel woolies” on Amazon. Buy all 3 sizes.

I use these and 2 different Adams Polishes brushes, along with their Tire & Rubber cleaner and Wheel Cleaner for the rims. I’m an OCD 3 bucket wash kind of guy though. You could probably do it with just the woolies.

It’s a PITA, but like all the good things in life, worth it.

Is that so much better than 437 that it's worth the trouble ? I have 437 and contemplating getting comp package with 666 black ones. Like the look of it better than the 666 silver ones but could make out it's pita to clean them

Wheel Woolies will be my go to accessory for the smaller gaps and then the WoWo Microfibre Wheel mitt for the larger gaps and face of the spokes.

I’ve gone through a bunch of things to figure out the best way. I’ve settled on Microfiber Madness Incredibrush Flat to do the barrels, their Incrediflair mitt to do the spokes front and back, one of the angled Wheel Whoolies to get that section behind the spokes around the outside and a lug nut brush to finish things off. Works great.

Sonax Wheel Cleaner Plus. Stuff is expensive but it?s almost literally spray and rinse.

+ 1 on the Wheel Woolies plus a lug nut brush. Not the easiest wheel to clean, but then again, what M wheels are? (Ok, the wheels on my Z4M coupe are pretty easy, but still...)

I would also consider putting a high quality ceramic coating on the wheels...I did that and found the wheels much easier to clean. Still a pita to clean but much easier.

Well, the handles flex which is very useful.

But, you can also buy one that is angled: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008I58BAA/ref=dp_cerb_2

and contact JC with http://www.detaileddesignsautospa.com for modesta BC06 applied to the wheels. whatever the cost, it saves SO much time when cleaning the wheels no matter how complex they are. Other coatings just don't stack up!

and the full size version.

EZ Detail Brush

I use the full size one, the large & medium sizes of wheel whoolies, and a lug brush.

I find the wheel woolies work better, and are safer on the wheels.
http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...ush-P568/1-S1/
For the tight areas, the 1" brush here works very well.
http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...ng-Brush-P565/
plus of course sonax here
http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...939/500-ml-S1/

If you have the wheels coated, it will make life MUCH simpler in the end! Figure about half the cleaning time or less. Its a HUGE difference on these cars/wheels

Kamikaze Rim Coat is by far the best thing you can do for those rims. I’d upload a pic but can’t figure out how to shrink the size.

Yeah, I gave up posting pics until I used photo sharing site. Currently, Imgur, which is free. So much easier...
