They're not venomous so no worries - plus they're pretty scared of us (humans) to begin with. In the wild they are supposed to be the largest spider by leg span - up to 1 foot in length.

Placed it on the floor and stood well back, flushed after putting a small bowl over it, gave me the shudders TBH, it should survive in the sewage systems. Never seen anything like that anywhere here before.
