Hi kubax86 , I have a 2017 BMW F80 with CarPlay but in split screen. I would like to apply the change to enable full screen CarPlay.

Yes, it is, but only on 3/4 of the screen. Fullscreen requires Firmware Update -

I used the bimmer-remote service to get my Apple Car Play activated on my X5. Worked like a charm! So easy (given I had NBTEvo_N). Highly recommended. Also, very responsive to my questions!

Got Apple Carplay + full screen. Works flawlessly. Used a USB-C Macbook and ran free trial of Parallels because the file is .exe so you need Windows

Used this cable: https://www.amazon.com/OHP-Ethernet-...3284043&sr=8-8

And then you just need an ethernet adapter if your Macbook doesn't have a port

Tell me more about this free trial for parallels? I've been holding off on this because I don't have a PC, only a MBPro and no desire to spend $100 on parallels and more on a Windows license...

Paralles has 14 days free trial and you can install Windows without any license at all, so it is free.

Just activated Apple CarPlay for a M2 LCI with the USB stick process and it could not have been easier.

Purchase, receive an email with detailed and easy instructions, follow them, and you got it.

I was a bit afraid because I'm not that "skilled" in terms of tech and I though I would mess the whole thing up at some point, but no.

Fortunately did not have to request for Kubax assistance in the process due to any problem, but I'm sure he would have helped.

Totally recommended.

I just got this for my M2 competition yesterday. It worked brilliantly thanks. One question though, do I need to ask the dealership not to update idrive on upcoming services, or just let them do their thing and reach out again for another unlock?
