Don't think cars weigh nearly the same, both front engine rwd. Is it the torque delivery? Too much torque too low causing tires to slip rather than grab?

The Z06 simply launches better because it is more powerful, has better gearing and has bigger and stickier tires. It has nothing to do with the engine torque curve.

The Z06 is not much lighter if at all.My client weighed his a said it was 3575 with full fuel.

True. That Z06/7 package does add a fair bit of weight to the C8. Fixed my OP.
