Tracks / airfields / open roads - Nottingham / East Midlands
Anyone in the Nottingham / East Midlands area know/recommend any nearby track day events or even just a disused airfield or length of open road where you can safely put your car to the limit i.e. test out launch control, time your 0-60mph etc etc.

Interested in this too, I know Donnington have track days but I'm always put off by the fear of binning it lol.

chedixon Not exactly round the corner, but was thinking of popping down to Santa Pod one Saturday - see http://www.rwyb.co.uk/index.php.
Only good for straight line timing, but for £35 would be decent day out |

get on to facebook and look for Frank Charity Track Day Club. Frnk Hall organises them. They are purely for charity. Once the cost of track and food is paid for he gives everything else to charity. we've raised over 20k+ I believe over the last few years for local causes. (FCTDC) He runs 4-5 a year at Blyton Park near Gainsborough. A great bunch of guys and we're all regulars and you don't get the usual trackday warriors. The track is quite small but I can hustle the M4 around there ok and you get to open the taps a little. Cheers.
