Mercedes isn't making changes to piss of current clients. It's called marketing. Making your current car look less desirable brings in more clients through the door.

LOL, why are we debating changes...cars nowadays go through more evolutions and refreshes than ever before AND the amount that changes between model years is staggering. You can't sit on the sidelines waiting for the next best thing because sure enough another feature will be released the following year.

I always get turned off when I see AMG residuals, although I haven’t gotten to the point of that much discount to make up for a low residual. If you don’t mind my asking, what is the residual % / miles on your lease? (MB / AMG sometimes beats on MF, but not enough to make up residual.). I wouldn’t mind giving AMG a try.

Thought I saw that on Insta - congrats man, hope you're thrilled with it. Looks great and sounds mean as hell. Look forward to seeing it around this summer.

update?
I am considering the c63 (sedan likely) as a next move from my m240i. I test drove a C63S coupe last night. I did not walk away with that I have to make this switch now feeling. The other current competitors for next car are RCF and 991.1.
what I liked: immense power and torque, made my m240i feel slow great sound beautiful car nice interior what left me unimpressed: still feel turbo lag (minimal admittedly, but it's there) the sound is amazing but still cant rival NA sound it feels big and visibility is poor compared to m240i the ride is rough even in comfort mode I would love to hear your impressions now that you've had the car for a while |

At the end of the day, it was the V8 power and sound that won me over. I also absolutely love the way the C63S Coupe looks with the wide body (I'm not a huge fan of the sedan's narrow body). It's really a car you need to see in person to appreciate how bulgy those front and rear fenders are. After owning the C63S Coupe for a few years, the biggest inherent flaw I've discovered is (not surprisingly) traction. The only mods I've done is a DINAN tune (600ish HP 650ish tq) and 305 PS4S rear tires to cope with the crazy low end stump pulling torque. It definitely keeps you on your toes with all that torque on tap... but that's to be expected with any high horsepower RWD car with a traditional front engine/trans layout. The other major issue with the C63S is the weight. On a positive note, this car really handles really well (the best handling car I've owned), and somehow feels like it's 500 lbs less than it really is. On the street, at 7/10's, it feels every bit as capable as the M4. But once you begin to start to reach the limits of the tires around corners and push hard, you start to feel those 2+ tons. It has great steering feel and you can feel the e-diff working in a predictable way, but I wouldn't describe the handling as razor sharp or agile. With that said, I don't regret purchasing the C63S. However, I've already decided for my next car that it will need be be a mid-engine or rear-engine if it's RWD. These modern front engine RWD cars are really at the limit with the amount of power they put down on street tires. I'm not interested in running DR's, R888R's, or Cup 2's on a daily. A pre-owned Porsche 991.2 is looking more and more like my next replacement with that tuner friendly 3.0L turbo flat-6. I really want to buy a bargain base 991.2 C2 or C4 and have fun modifying it to Turbo S levels! |

Before the C63S, I had a Cobb tuned 09’ 335i (6MT). Before that, a 2001 Audi S4 (built engine, ~600whp), E39 BMW 540i (6MT, I loved this car), 2003 Lexus IS300 (single turbo kit, 380ish whp, automatic). |

It must be the C63 convertible dealers are willing to discount. I was offered a similar discount of 10k off in December of 2017 on a MY 2017 because the manager said the convertible weren't moving. Need I say I still went with a 2017 M3 F80. The wife already had a c300 convertible MY 2018, that may have something to do with my final decision.

Did you drive the facelift?
After having the car 8 months my biggest complaint is honestly the COMAND system, i believe the new system is far superior and works better. Go for it.

I love the AMG 4.0 TT It sounds incredible and sings the way no current M motor can even come close to matching. It is better sounding than the S65. It just makes all the right noises. I couldn’t stand the sound of my F8x M3 and M4 and was part of the reason for selling them.

Have you considered the F90 M5? It's really received positive reviews (especially compared to the Panamera Turbo...)?? |
