I have the stock ECU file for a 2018 ZCP F83 from my tuner, but I belive these files might be locked to a VIN.

Looks like pricing is up on their website where orders can be placed. Has some current sale pricing too. FYI

Think this is what I would like confirming myself and imagine a lot of others. Would be a massive game changer if it were a true undetectable tune when flashed back to stock.

It's a separate charge of 3 benjiums, but I would search around (PM).

If BMW can claim that cause and affect of the engine/transmission failure is due to the tune, yes. Got to p$y to pl$y. Use the search function as this has been discussed ad nauseum on the forums.

I paid euro 2000 + 19% VAT tax ($2,700) for a Stage II flash tune during my ED, so this is very reasonable.

The private equity investors over Dinan I sure aren't happy about this development.

EDIT: Looking back, I still would of flashed the ECU, as I didn't have a crystal ball back then and living in Charleston, SC I wasn't going to mail off my ECU. But I'm the future it will much cheaper.

Whenever a vehicle is modified there is always a risk. We always aim to reduce detect-ability as much as possible, but there is no way to completely eliminate it. Measures are implemented and continue to be implemented make this process as stealth as possible.

The vehicle will communicate and interact with dealer systems as if it were a stock vehicle. We will have more updates on this as the solution matures. The only way to COMPLETELY restore the ECU back to where it was (including all environmental data) is with a bench backup and EEPROM restoration.

Due to the number of requests for E85 software, we are going to set some time aside to offer this. We have a car coming in next week with Upgraded turbos and the FuelIt setup. Stage II gains at altitude will be less, especially coupled with 91 octane.

I'm interest in a F85 tune, so I would be purchasing the cable.

Too bad this wasn't announced eariler as it was nerve wrapping keeping my fingers crossed my ED vehicle would pass through US Customs & VDC- which it did.
We can restore any vehicle back to stock specifications even without the original file. We have a massive library of nearly every software version from every BMW dating back over ten years, occupying 1.3 Terrabytes of space. Feel free to PM or email us with questions.

No coding will be lost in this process. The software will prompt you to back up your existing coding data, and then it is easily restored after the the flash in about ten seconds. This is because the act of flashing the ECU causes the coding data to be erased. Keep in mind that this is referring to the DME coding data itself, and not any other feature coding or other coding data in the vehicle.

Flashing the MG1 DME & Bxx Engine platform is in development. It will take some time but there are definitely plans for future support.

Introductory pricing for the M3/M4/M5/M6 is on our website. Others can PM/Email as we have not updated the site yet. We are not working with any other vendor. We were the first to offer this support/capability requiring no ECU removal to end users. It is expected that this will trickle to other tuners using this flashing system.

This is easily achieved. Contact us and we'll get you set up

Correct. Before this solution the cable was purchased separately. Now the tune and cable is included in the package since the DME(s) are not removed and shipped anymore. Quicker to ship customers cables instead

This is a solution for people that want to flash their vehicle and enjoy it, as if the software came with the car from the factory. All of our software is designed to be OEM+. For those that want to tinker with their vehicles, there are more well suited solutions out there for that. We have been toying with the idea of unlocking DME's for other tuners remotely, but have not decided to offer this yet.

We've tuned many leased vehicles without issues, and have had a number of tuned cars pass through CPO inspection without issues - even with the tune loaded. That said, anything is possible - we do suggest that vehicles be restored to the factory configuration prior to return.

That's a pretty good price for getting a tune and the tool to flash your car back and forth via OBD as well as the ability to erase that these activities even took place.

Does no one remember the price of Cobb/flash tunes on like N54/N55. Cut that in half.
