I put this in the main BimmerCode thread, but I figured I'd put here as well.
I'm late to the party, but count me as another very happy customer. I coded everything I wanted in a relatively short time. I used the Bluetooth OBDLinkMX+ dongle. It is more expensive ($79/Amazon), but I liked the extra features and I can use it to code my F150 as well. I had zero connection issues as in it never dropped out once. So I'm also very happy with that. I also used an iPhone X to do the coding and remember to put it in airplane mode plus disconnect the bluetooth to the car. I went slow and coded each feature before moving on to the next. This is time consuming/cumbersome logging out of BimmerCode/reconnecting to it and the modules because it has you shut the car down after each code and restart the ignition. Remember to disconnect from the BT to car each time as well. I had zero problems doing it this way. If you choose to do it this way it is a bit time consuming. And for that reason I opted to put my CTEK charger on. Remember the M3/4 batteries are Li and use a specific charger made for these batteries. Also use the under-hood connection points and don't connect it directly to the battery/ You may have to for this . Last I had a bit of trouble coding the Euro Brake Force/Flashing and had to find that in different threads. For the F30 they had an easy on/off option, butter mine had to use expert mode in the FEM as well. It is as follows. 1. Go into the Front Electronic Module or FEM_01 then Expert mode. 2. 3060 LceMaster 3. ESS_AKTIVIERBARER_AUSGANG 4. bremslicht_blinkend 5. Code Then if you want the full version remember to go into the Rear Electronic Module or REM_01 then Expert mode. 1. 3062 LceLampMapping1 2. MAPPING_BREMS_L_OUTPUT 3. bl_l 4. MAPPING_BREMS_R_OUTPUT 5. bl_l 6. Code |

No prob and it should be pretty close as the video I saw was from a mid teens F30 IIRC. Also many coding threads from the older pre BCode way is where I got it from and then found it in BCode.

M4 Issues?
Hi all, new non-tech-savvy 2019 M4 convertible owner here. I mostly want to get this coding thing to work to disable the Active Sound. I've bought both the VGate iCar pro and the UniCarScan and neither of them work. The first one doesn't do bluetooth or wifi at all, that I can tell, and the second one does bluetooth but my phone comes up with a "pairing unsuccessful--'unicarscan' is not supported" error when I try to join.
Any ideas what's wrong? Apologies if this is answered somewhere else--not really sure where to look. Thanks. |

Hey all, first post here.
I already have the ENET cable. I searched a bit and I'm trying to figure out if there are any advantages to coding using a laptop as most videos I have found show people using their phone. I also don't know where to look for the latest download links and/ or exactly what software is everyone's "go to" at the moment. Thanks |

i had alex code my car to CS edc a few months back. last week i took it to the dealer to get springs installed.
tech said they dont change the coding, but have to reset some errors as part of the install. What would be the easiest way to check my EDC coding? My friend has the app and bluetooth dongle thing for the coding. Where do i find this info?

Hi All - just purchased an M4 build date November 18. Australian spec
Current software is I-step F020-17-11-521 I am trying to determine if there are any worthwhile improvements in the later or latest I-step version. I have tried to find information on this site but failed. Can anyone advise if it is worth paying the dealer to update? Many thanks
