Got a Porsche 911 991.1 Carrera 4S

Ever since I sold my 09 e92 M3 I always thought I was going to replace it with a new or used M4 ZCP. A friend of mine got a new 911 Turbo and after having some seat time in it i knew a P car would be my next car.

I ended up with a 2013 911 Carrera 4S, it isn't a turbo but it doesn't need to be. I absolutely am in love!

My favorite things so far about the car after driving it for 2 days are:

GRIP - I thought the M3 handled like it was on rails, i was wrong. This a an entire different level. The amount of confidence in the corners is inane!

Sport Chromo Package - Kind of like having the M' button there is sport and sport plus buttons which adjust throttle mapping suspension ect. Sport plus translates the 911 into a angry Conor McGregor like animal. Making all types of noises and 1st to 2nd lunging shifts.

Sport Exhaust - Really no point in getting the car without this, revving to 7800K with the baffles open is a sound track that i can play over and over every single day. It is very loud in a good way.

There is much more, but i won't bore you. If you have the opportunity to test drive one and your cross shopping, consider it, you won't look back

Enjoy it in good health, logical upgrade from the E92m given its engine characteristics.. I looked at this car when buying my m3... what swayed me towards another m3 was the utility of the m3.. as well as the lack of torque in the 911...

911 is a great 2nd car or one if u don't cart around kids like I do

Awesome! Just got a '13 myself in October, a C2S that was loaded with about $40k in options. Check out rennlist if you're not already familiar.

Nice choice! Curious, why did you opt for the 4?

The 4s is probably my next car but need to wait a few more years until kids are older and 4 doors isn't such a requirement. Looking at 911.2 more than likely.

OP lives in Michigan, I would have bought a 4 if I lived there too.

A lighter, lower, AWD 911 is going to have worlds more confidence in the twisties (even if the numbers narrow the difference).

And sport exhaust I agree with but also that engine is worlds better sounding.

Congrats on your ride!

If your looking to get spacers I have a brand new 7mm and 15mm from suncoast for sale. I originally got them for a C4s I had on order but changed it to a GTS with center lock wheels.

No kids here, of course we all have that dilemma even without them. I am going to daily the 911 and use families car if I need utility, that's the plan at least. THank you!

Yes by then the price will come down, the .2 is much a nice upgrade.

You didn't get the memo? This is the Porsche subforum, check out the other threads

Anyway, it's common to cross shop vehicles, as I did prior to my purchase and the M4 coupe was in that dilemma.

That and Rennlist is horrible, I can imagine old men bickering about which seats are better and sport exhaust being too loud.

Don't think so, no one on Rennlist really mods their cars and warranty is always an issue while here almost all cars are modded.

Porsche has 4 options for seats while BMW don't, Rennlist thinks pse is too loud while here car is not loud enough.

Nice car! I want one but I'd never have an opportunity to drive it with my kids being so young and having a 1.5 mile commute. Enjoy that thing!
