I don't know if my question is crank hub. My car m3 has been set at 1.8bar before. but know it will beat over 2bar. is it may be?

3. Injector gave out after switching to ACN91; car was driven with E85 tune while on regular gas for less than 5 miles.
nars3000 , I actually encountered a similar issue. My E85 map failed to switch to 91 and within few miles I got a drivetrain malfunction with Injector Shut off, and misfire on cylinder 6. I let the car sit overnight, solved the flashing issue, and flashed back to stock, and the car started up fine the next day. No issues so far for the past month.
I also was thinking to get into injector replacement but so far so good. I am wondering if there is a way to confirm if no damage was done to injector/spark plug/or else.

So on face value of the pole results, failures are roughly (% per power level of total reported per power level)

2.5% of stock cars.
7.8% of lightly tuned cars (450-500)
20.8% of 500-550 cars
28.5% of 550+ cars

I am not sure your math is right, the figures do not add up to 100%...

haha... as it shouldn't...

I did the numbers in individual power ratings... and rounded a bit

i.e. out of 100% of the stock cars 2.5% reported a spun hub... 97.5% no spiny spiny etc...

Level of risk related to level of tune is what I was interested in, the argument keeps going on regards SCH and tuning, I was curious on the poll numbers.

Then the numbers don’t mean squat. More than likely, only a very small minority of stock owners/members that did not have issues voted on the poll. The probability of spinning the crank hub on a stock car is far less than 2.5%.

Stock car voting was the highest out of all the power levels, and yep it probably is less... there is a poll you look at the numbers in the poll. it's just something to look at

You are three times more likely to spin your hub with a light tune than stock.

Association or causation? Probably abit of both.

I ran the VF stage one for a year and 35000kms and was not worried because I have a bit of mechanical sympathy and don't drive like a spastic, I like to drive fast... not thrash a car, two very different things.

On a side note I've rolled back to Alex's GTS tune, it's just so smooth and drivable, for driving fast in the hills and DD duties it's awesome... and a possible reduction in risk... maybe. So far about 50000kms done with a tune in my car of some type.

Know a few 500whp-700whp cars right now who also drive fast but not thrashing the car on stock hub.

All running from BM3 Stage1 up to Custom Full E85 Stock Turbos and even Upgraded Turbos.

Just a thought: Why is everyone talking about horsepower instead of torque? Isn't it the torque that is the problem?

Does anyone know if any GTS's has spun a crankhub?

Johnny.
