Anyone aware of aftermarket companies developing a GTS Hood replica? That would be sublime for F8X.

iND posted a photo of what I'm fairly certain is the GTS hood on instagram earlier this week. I'm sure they'll have more info to follow soon

I saw that. Looks amazing. It's an OEM hood and uber expensive.

I took some pics of one from a GTS yesterday, and that pattern is actually a giant CF weave. It is sooo cool.

Also, I was able to finally answer a question that has been nagging me... what does that hood vent line up with? Well, it lines up with the radiator and the intake piping, just above teh fan. and just drops water, where it would fall, in the rain.

I have a hunch the the company that manufactures the hood for the GTS will make it available (either directly from them or through BMW). I remember reading an article from that manufacturer mentioning extra sales from the aftermarket.

That hood would need to get clear bra'ed as soon as it's painted.

For what it's worth, the hood costs double what I paid for my perfectly running beater 4Runner

We just got the OEM BMW M4 GTS hood in from Germany (there is only one left) and the hood is currently "NLA" in North America. This one is going on the iND M4

The complete OEM BMW M4 GTS hood is carbon fiber. The top of the hood is primer paint.

where does the water drain goes, i have looked the elk and there is no extra cowl for the air duct or drain any one have looked at it

Yes I have both at IND now
