Rock chips protection
Hey team, what you recommend to avoid rock chips? NY & NJ is rock chip heaven. I was thinking about the ceramic coating and expel type barrier, would the plastic film harm the paint? This would be applied to a purchased car that I would be keeping a while.

Highly recommend Paint Protection Film. I own a shop in Fair Lawn, NJ called Always Clean Detailing Services.
We offer PPF using Xpel, 3M, Suntek, Llumar and Stek. Each have pros and cons and can help you decide which is best for you. Feel free to PM if you would like a quote or stop by anytime our shop. Our IG is @alwayscleancars, check us out! Last edited by CtNxFLeX; 05-15-2019 at 02:29 PM.. |

It will properly protect your paint from rock chips, though. I went through this a few times, and at ~$500/panel or $4-5K/car, PPF always comes out way more expensive than occasional chip repair, or even a nose re-spray. The other thing to remember with PPF is that you will be committing to no automatic car washes for life. Only gentle hand washing, and only with certain chemicals (varies by film brand). Just FYI. a
