^ Glad to see so many CS owners on the track!

I logged 29 track days in my M3 CS! This is where this car belongs. There are certainly better cars for tracking, but there is no better place than a track for the CS!

Yeah, i'm sure there are better but really happy with how the car performed all around on track. Great machine, great power. Honestly, don't need much more HP… What tires did you guys run with OEM wheels on track? Any track mods?

I ran RE71R exclusively. Mods were the standard HPDE:
GC Camber plates
MP-HAS corner balanced
PFC-08 pads,
Castrol SRF/Motul 660
MPE

Nothing crazy no power bumps.

Got an allocation for a g82, but recently saw a beautiful low mileage 2018 CS…maybe the wrong place to ask, but honest thoughts?

jmg can give you a rundown.

Can’t go wrong with either tho as far as the driving experience is concerned, so get whichever your heart is set on

Another JMG?! Lol

I had an M3 CS… loved it

I sold it to get a G82 M4 Comp X-Drive… love it.

You can't go wrong with either. Both are fast and capable. I don't want to derail this thread so just check out my write-up here:

Straight Six is parting out a CS if anyone is looking for spare parts. I'm grabbing the door sills, previous owner scratched my driver side pretty badly.

Trade my M3 CS for an M2 CS with manual? I have an E92 M3 with a DCT so thinking this may make sense. Not sure if this is an upgrade or downgrade. Thoughts?

Does anyone know if their are coding differences between the stock CS brakes and the CCBs?

I'm thinking of upgrading to CCB calipers with Girodiscs rotors.

Not sure on coding but some of the hydraulics systems may be different part numbers. Been told a straight swap to CCBs will work but that factory CCB cars have upgraded hydraulic parts for more fluid pressure. Have not fully researched but need to ahead of possible swap from oem steel to oem ccb on my ZCP.

Yes, there are. You need to have it coded for the DSC 6/4pot steel.

Do you also know if any of the lines or the brake booster are different?

Brake lines are the same. CCB Brake booster is different, but not needed when doing the CCB (6/4pot) Calipers and Steel Discs.

Edit: To clarify, you don't need brake booster when going from steel to steel. You do need the booster if going full ccb to steel.

Welcome to the club NickyC!

Questions for everyone - what does your power display read? Mine is showing 560hp and 480tq. Just want to see if anyone's display reads differently.

Thanks RugbyBro, stoked to be here! Thank you for all your help! Here is my 2019 Frozen Dark Blue II CS with 14,900 miles! Only mod planned so far is to move over the Vorsteiner diffuser from my M3 to this car. I’m pumped to own this thing!!

All season tires being replaced as part of the deal when they arrive next week. Somebody put all seasons on this car?!? :/

it's sort of a downgrade. imo the m3cs is a better equipped car. its got the full s55; includes the whole intake system. the upper strut brace actually connects to the A pillar. it doesn't in the m2cs. the 2cs requires more skill to drive fast on the track. can't really run wide rubber on it, the interior is kind of meh; no shift lights. ppl love the 2cs because its a back to basic type of car. a lot of the cars lack feel today, so the 2cs is refreshing in the moment. the best thing about the 2cs over 3cs is the STEERING. the m2cs is a clear win in that department. both cars look great depending on the day. I've had both. the 2cs is a fun manual

Nice! Saw this one here in st louis through car gurus. Congrats! I know there are 2 more m4cs here apart from yours. A black one and a red one with CCBs. A white one was being sold by autohaus. Dont know if they still have it or it sold.

Thanks a lot! Yeah I think the one at Autohaus is long gone. It was white without ICONs so I never seriously considered it. I believe Jim Butler Maserati across the street from them has a black M3 CS still. Super nice with an AP front BBK and rear Girodisc rotors.

I’ve yet to see another CS on the road here in STL but will keep my eyes peeled!

I agree there, I would say wait and trade for g80 m3 cs or newer m2 cs when come out, m3 cs is great the way it is. That what I may do one day, but I love the way f80m3 cs look so much it going to be hard.[IMG][/IMG]
