My Intech Lite 24’ trailer is finally in production!!!
Purchased an Intech Lite 24’ trailer. Special order is 4-6month wait but this was an allotted unit through Victory Trailer in MI that I could modify the options. They were also the lowest cost dealer that quoted it. Put down a deposit on Mar 7th and will pick up Apr 26th.
There is nothing “Lite” about the Lite series trailers. All aluminum and comes standard with extruded aluminum floor and ramp door. Notable options I added are AC unit, spare tire, onboard battery, thicker exterior walls at 0.040”, winch plate, and silver frost colored exterior and cabinets. Wanted something different than white and it will match the tow vehicle. Here are the first construction photos I’ve been sent on the Customer portal. Can’t wait to trailer the F80 to the track and be able to relax between sessions in AC. Yes, I know the dually is overkill but small truck small trailers, big truck all trailers. Also, sometime in the future, this may become a 2 car campaign with another car instead of sharing the F80 with my wife. That would just give me an excuse to custom order an Intech Gooseneck with bathroom package. Last edited by bimmerboyE92; 04-05-2019 at 01:51 AM.. |

Awesome OP. Love how they provide all the construction pics & drawings. Hope they are as good as they look - I'm finalizing a deal on one too. Last edited by OG Shark; 04-05-2019 at 12:45 PM.. |

What options or option packages did you go for? There is a top of the line 24ft Intech Icon at Trailer World in Bowling Green, KY. Original bought by a marketing company for Chevy but never used. The fender arches kinda resemble the Chevy fender arches. Check it out. So much you can option these with.

The Lite series doesn’t give all the options. So no escape door, no ramps, no lowered side skirt around the wheels, no extended spoiler at the rear, limited colors only, etc. but most of the big options are there.
Regarding escape door. At first I was convinced I wanted an escape door, but then I read some complaints about water leaks, and a couple people had cars so low that it didn’t work anyways. And of course the cost. For me to get into an Icon trailer the price jump was around $8k without AC. More features and options but none that mattered to me so it was basically paying $8k for an escape door. I’m planning to install a winch and got the winch prep option. This way, loading solo with a running car or not will be possible. Last edited by bimmerboyE92; 04-06-2019 at 08:20 AM.. |

Floor is down. This is one of the main reasons I chose Intech. Although there are lots of quality trailer manufacturers... it seems that every Intech I’ve ever seen has an extruded aluminum floor. No wood anywhere in this trailer.

How are you planning to tie down your car? Having the airline track added? I took off the jack pads on my E92 M3 has use the factory tie down spots underneath when on my open trailer. Not sure how easy that will be to get to now though. Was thinking of giving the wheel nets a try using the airline track that is on it. |

I plan to just use the D-Rings and strap through the rims. I’m on the side that believes in allowing the car suspension to move freely while on a trailer. Not crazy about through the rim straps, would rather have tire baskets. But using the D-Rings won’t allow that easily. Last edited by bimmerboyE92; 04-09-2019 at 06:13 PM.. |

More trailer porn for you’all.
My buddy is getting his double Viper trailer delivered this week.

Haven't seen it in the flesh yet, but will do.
Lately I've been thinking about a "toy hauler". They do make some with 16' or 18' garages. The living quarters and bump outs are so much nicer compared to a "race car trailer". Big worry is how high the load height is compared to a proper race trailer? They are designed mostly for RZRs, jeeps etc. http://www.forestriverinc.com/rvs/to...ce/388V16/3311

I looked into the RV toy hauler but most wont give you the payload to haul a 3600lbs car let alone whatever else you put in to “camp”.
However, Sundowner makes a toy hauler that will! And Intech or ATC will build youbamything you can dream of. http://www.sundownertrailer.com/tlr-ToyHauler.html |
