Air suspension???

Anyone tried it?

https://www.vividracing.com/air-lift...151807606.html

My rear has around 1" gap while my front is 2.25.

Was thinking this might be perfect to drop the front when I have my 20" summers on and be able to raise it easily when I put the 19 winters on.

I can't lower the front with the 19s without scraping driveways.

So it's this or the M HAS but the rear for the HAS kit would be a waste.

Why do you think the rear on MP HAS is a waste?
I am running this suspension and love it. Go for it.

If all you care about is ride height, sure the MP HAS might seem like a waste. If you care about suspension performance, you won't consider it a waste. Air suspension takes all the engineering and design that an M car is known for and throws it out the window. Not many will be fans of that on this forum.

Just doubt I would adjust the rear at all from where it sits now. Have about 1" gap now. Fronts are around 1.75".

Leaning now toward just swapping the front springs out for the .8 drop eibach springs.....of I can find somewhere to get them installed for less than my first born son. Getting quotes from 650 to over 800 just for the fronts.

What rear offset did Forgestar do for you?

I ask because I have CF5V's in the super deep concave, 10", and they're ET20, which causes rubbing at stock camber on lowered suspension (both H&R Sports and Swifts).

ET37

Where does your rub?
I think I would rub with the 305s if I lower it.

Both sides on the rear on stock 275's @ factory camber settings. Adjusted to max camber I don't rub.

Looks like you are about 2mm closer to the fender than I am. My tires are .6 taller than yours as well so I am already .3 closer to the rear wheel arch.

How much drop did you have with the HR and the Swifts?

Do you get any rub with the fronts? Do you guys with lowered fronts scrape the fender with the wheel turned and hitting a bump? Looks like it would have to scrape the wheel arch if you do being as low as some members are. Love the look but it is only a matter of time with the roads around here that I hit a bump while turning.

Thanks.

H&R's are 1.3" front / 1" rear, Swifts are 1" front /. 4" rear. Never had any rubbing up front--fronts are 9.5" ET15, on stock 255's.

Just get proper suspension. MP HAS kit costs $1200 but gives you the piece of mind of OEM parts and full adjustability. You can go really low or really high with it you won’t regret it.

In my opinion you are running way to high front and back. I'm lowered on M Perf HAS and have it sitting right above the top of the tires (maybe 1.5mm gap) for both front and back. Have 265/30/20 and 295/30/20 with no rub at all no matter what degree turn or how much weight/bumps.

This is why I NEVER EVER let some one drive my car oh let’s drive over potholes again and again. Yeah take a few pieces out my 10k set of HRE WHEELS damn. I always take my controller out of my car when I leave it somewhere because all it takes is some idiot to drop it with the wheels turned to bend a fender lol. Also you never ride at max height lol that’s to go over places where you might rub not to drive wtf. My favorite part of the video is how you don’t even know that you can adjust on the fly lol too funny. Put those springs on your stock m3 i will out handle you in my show M4 lol with properly setup air suspension. Maybe this car was setup wrong but the comments you make show how little you know about modern air suspension systems.

So how far has modern air suspensions come anyways? I am legitimately curious because I've always preferred a good coilover setup over bags and bags a long time ago were just expensive with no real performance gain and prone to leaks and issues.

Suspension Air Bags on a 67 Chevy Impala? Absolutely! But on a M3/M4? I'll pass. And what are these balloons that seem to be the common theme of all the air bag suspensions? They look like gonads and don't belong in any car.

To each his own and some have bigger gonads than others, just like coil overs there are many types of bags for many different applications lol
