I agree in pics it reminded me of DSB, but in person its a different look. Check out the pic, not sure if it shows the different nuances

Thanks Peter!
I'm in North NJ right now, but my wife and I are moving to Philly soon. Enjoy the car! These individual paints are complex colors, but that's what makes them fun.

Take this for example:

Bright light with the sun directly overhead, but it's very difficult to make out any flake. I see many sunlight pictures of Tanzanite that look similar to this and I'm just wondering if this is typically how it looks or if I've just seen a bunch of photos that aren't really representative of it.
Definitely see what your saying... The angle the sunlight hits and viewing angle is key. That's important because many want the lighter blue hue to standout more often.
I actually like this pic though. The color looks very liquid here! Feels like I could swan dive into that M4!

Oh, don't get me wrong. I think it looks amazing in that picture also. I just want to have my cake and eat it too. Dark colors hide the amazing lines of this car, so ideally I'd love to have that dripping wet, dark look with lots of flake to show off the lines on top of that.

Not easy to find either color on the streets or even the dealers, so pics are always appreciated.

Silverstone interior I assume? (Not Opal)
It's difficult to track down both colors, but it can be done. Get familiar with 5 or 6 different dealer websites and check inventory daily - that's where my obsession led me to anyways.

The TB is a current factory color for the 6-series, so that's what you want to search for. The Azurite I only was successful in tracking down in a 7-series, but it was sold before I got to the dealership to see the color - I ended up finding a member on another forum with an individual E90 335i and seeing AB that way.

Good Luck - If I had to pick one it would have been TB, but it's all preference obviously.

Yes, I concur! That's the beauty of some of these metallic colors, but we definitely want both sides to be shown without too much difficulty haha!

Your car looks great. TBM and SS is an impressive combo. Tanz is definitely more complex and exclusive than Deep Sea.

Thanks, drop is pretty much what I was looking for. Yes adaptive, works great. If the NY Streets get too bouncy I can put it into comfort. Drop is minimal so not much change from stock

Thanks for all the compliments Gents, appreciate the appreciation. Great choice and for the price I really thought it was a great deal. Looking forward to some nice weather and getting out there with some fellow enthusiasts

I'll let you know when me and some of the guys get together, JohnnyM3 has Azurtite here or coming in. I've only seen Azurite in our showroom on an F82, looking forward to seeing his F80 AB. And yes Silverstone Extended

On some of them it looks like the flakes make the car look kinda "messy", the part where the light shines is very light but the other parts are pretty dark, don't know how to explain. It seems to be more elegant and classy, but not that sporty, is that correct?

Mineral Grey is a bit boring IMO and I'd prefer if it would be lighter (like Space Grey or Donington Grey) where you can see the lines better (okay this could be similar with Tanzanite Blue though).
The great thing is that whether I'm in the shop, outside on a sunny day or overcast, the car looks fantastic, your really can't go wrong. A few service techs asked me if it's an exclusive M color so I think it looks pretty sporty. Dinh335 has Silver 19"'s on his TB F80 which make it look a bit more "classy" while still remaining sporty looking. Win Win IMHO

Always been a fan of DSB, Imperial, and Carbon Black, I'm drawn to the blue tones in these cars, thanks very much

I would have to agree, but then again, I have no choice now Looking forwar to seeing your LeMans Blue, it's going to look very nice!

Complex for sure, I've never seen anything quite like it. The paint looks like you can swim in it in overcast weather and it sparkles like crazy in the sun.

Car looks great. Love the color.

How do you like the ride on the springs? Does it seem to be extra bouncy at all?

Would love to see more pics too!

Also if it's not a huge pain, I'd love to see a walkaround video in the sunlight, please! I'm super curious to see how the color shifts as you move around the car.

Thanks . Ride not any more bouncy than stock IMO. I came out of a 550i so the M3 already felt "harder" on the bumps to begin with. In the turns its more planted, less body roll. My colleague has H&R Sports and its more noticeable and a bit harsh but I love his drop on the front wheels. Hope this helps
