Early BMW Lease Termination

Hi guys, I'm fairly new to the forums but had a couple questions about an early lease termination. Im currently leasing a f10 535i, and the lease ends January 2017. The current mileage is 30k and the allotted is 15k a year. I have been really looking into the f82s and wanted to lease one and end my current lease early. Is there any way of doing this with little to no harm to my pocket? I've read many of the forums on leasing but many are older ones on ending a lease.

Call BMWFS tell them you would like to execute your rights to early lease termination. Then they will arrange for an appraisal on the vehicle After that they will email you documents showing what you would be obligated to pay if anything to terminate the lease early. They are very forgiving and I hvae done it a couple times now once on my X5 and also on my 335xi. If you have anymore questions PM me.

Consider going to Carmax and getting it appraised and bought out. Since you have low miles according to the lease terms and where you are in the lease, you may come out ahead. By the way, did you mean January 2017?

Also, there's nothing that says you cannot sell it outright to a private seller. Finally, BMW often has early pull ahead programs for people like you.

Finally, consider that if you want to option it the way you want or want to do European delivery, you may have a 3-6 month wait depending on allocations. Consider the led time.

It's standard to do a 6-month pull ahead on a lease if you're getting another BMW. You're 2 months from that.

I would very much like the option of doing a pull ahead, but currently there are no programs in California.

Really? That's surprising. Assume it doesn't help if you get the car in NV and register in CA. It's based on where you register or buy?

It's based on BMW not really doing any pull-ahead right now unless your car has a Takata air bag. Not kidding.

6 month lease pull-ahead is a BMW "put sales on steroids" tool. Usually (frequently) deployed when BMW is neck'n'neck with MB or Lexus for the sales totals in the US.

Unfortunately, BMW is way behind MB in sales, and seams to be giving up for the year. Either for this, or other reasons, BMW NA has been very lackadaisical about pull-ahead lease promotions this spring. Lets see if things change later this year (I want to ditch my i3 lease early).

Funny thing is that if I can't do a pull ahead I may not stay with BMW. Getting out of my 235 early was a major plus given that I'm over my miles. TTS is going to be $2.5k closer to BMW now in terms of cost. That may just swing it.

So, if I want to do a pull-ahead for a M3 and get it 6 months before my lease ends... ideally I need to be in there 9 months earlier to order the M3? Is that right?

This. Just talked to my dealer last week about a pull ahead on a X5 and he pretty much word for word said if you don't have an airbag issue don't plan on it.

Guess I'm lucky, I was able to turn my 2013 335i in 6 months early back in February. Since that car had very low mileage and was in pristine condition, they just took the car back with no lease end inspection or money required to end lease early. Leased a new 2016 550i in place of 335i.

I got a 3 month pull ahead + 2 months owner loyalty on my M235i in March. It allowed me to turn in my 13' F30 almost 6 months early. At the the time my dealer did say that they only had a limited # of pull aheads available.

Is there any "always on" pull ahead period? Like 3 months? Just to account for the variability in car shopping/ordering.

Can confirm, spoke with the dealer last week. No pull ahead unless you have a live grenade in your steering wheel.

for the most part, ive always been getting calls from my dealers approx 3 months ahead of lease end. its not a standard thing....so dont expect it. but depending on time of year, its not uncommon.

there's no harm in contacting your dealer and asking. the most they can say is no. Just keep in mind, they're more likely to do this for you if you're getting another new BMW. they dont give a crap if you're buying used or switching to another brand.

Are you saying they won't help you get out of your lease early or there aren't any decent programs? I would think that they would always "help you" for the right amount of money as everything has a price.
