Warranty expiring in December and I'm guessing a lot of your 2016s expirations are coming up to...

Do y'all think it's worth getting the extended factory warranty? I'm planning to keep the car for at least 6 years and probably will keep it under 60,000 km. Got quoted for an additional 3 years / 80000 km for $3850 CAD / $2750 USD.

I haven't heard many issues on the F80 / F82 platform other than general maintenance from board members around or under 55000 miles. Only thing I'm concerned about is the water tank but hoping to get it replaced before my original expiry date.
Where'd you get that quote? Is it BMW gold/plat warranty? That's much better than I've seen in the states and I'm looking to possibly extend my M4 warranty. At that price, it seems like a steal.

BMW Platinum. Quote depends on year and mileage.

Do you have a GTS or reg M4? Two very different propositions as far as parts and costs.

I definitely went for the extended warranty given the cost of everything on the car.

Good choice. Being out of warranty on a Gts is a big gamble. Going for the additional 3 years as well.

Anyone have success with the Geico Mechanical breakdown coverage? That's a bargain compared to the numbers I'm seeing here.
