Wall paper and drapes. I'm convinced both were invented just to fuck with me.

Anyway. There is a tiny sliver of a chance the second bedroom is done today. This would mean bathrooms a week early which will mean hubby won't perhaps kill me since I rented our current home out two weeks earlier than I told him we had to move.

As the brave person I am, I don't have the balls to come clean. I should probably write guide books on how to spark up your relationship by making the spouse go insane.

One wall to paint, and one floor to paint. Then off to the bathrooms I go. The good good news is that the cold is back!

We got it done!

It's kinda cute. If anyone wants to adopt my spare kids who don't have rooms yet, I'm totally donating. I'm seriously low on super cool ideas now since nobody thinks painting a race track to the tiny kids floor is cool! It's now a torn down to some plywood kind of material and as easy as it would be to just put wood on it, why bother when all the toys will ruin it in a year or two, and i would've appreciated a floor of fun. At that age!

I found the house log book. Until the seventies everyone who lived in a house had to be logged to the house book. I didn't have the chance to figure out what exactly was the meaning for it besides keeping track of people and making sure landlords paid their taxes. I had some mild love issues towards the house but that keeps getting bigger and bigger issue daily. I spent half of the day cutting off old nails so I wouldn't tear up old panels since those were originally done by a war veteran with one arm only who paid for his room and keep by making those. He also worked the cattle in the fields for an extra job. The house book mentioned he was noisy at nights because of terrors.

I also have decided the old windows on the old side will be restored even if I lose an arm and a leg in heating since since those have been maintained for 70 years this year. I found a restoration specialist who Swears he can make them work.

To explain our family to you, we have a part of a city named after us. It wasn't because we had most of the land. Our family owned some businesses and they bred the best ever root vegetable breed ever: The Kässälä Turnip. After the civil war which went in our way but it kinda is not good for marketing when at your grounds a ton of reds were slaughtered, they started to call it Messukylä's Turnip. Anyway.

The house I bought is no more than 400 yards from the old main building. I have never seen it. My uncle lives less than 300 yards from me, and we talk every 15 years or so, mostly shouting. My grandmother was so feared the city mayor though with a different title once wet his pants when she brought her might to the table. Thinking of her makes me wet my pants still so don't think badly of that mayor.

I was 13 when I found out my grandma had a sister who lived 300 yards from her. I hadn't spoken with my grandma at that point without an adult present for 7 years. My childhood is filled with glorious memories of my grandma, the defender of our country telling me how evil I am and how she wishes I'll die young to spare my mother, and when I got home and asked my mom how a woman can talk like that to a child she always told me she was altered by the war she fought in the front lines.

Kaarina, my great aunt actually was a fucking warrior woman. She was far from perfect and we had weekly coffee meet for a decade when I realized I had a female role model and she could've told me this but apparently...

1. My grandma never went to war. She served in the safety of the home front and her official service records state she was too young to be sent there which wasn't true since Kaarina was a year older and served in both wars.

2, Today I found a chest filled with letters from and to the front lines,one written by my grandma to her sister which said "father is ailing. Soon I will take over the whole family legacy so I told my supervisor today I'm not touching an other wound or doing an other round with a doctor. I'm Out! I will find a husband so father will leave the lands to us. He doesn't remember you anymore."

You know what's bad? Bad is when you think you're in a direct line of a fucking nazi and then you read her own words that actually say that your grandma was a full blown sociopath with some nazi fibers and you just read a handful of letters from thousands! They lived next door of each other and used letters to communicate. They're all in a chest and I only picked a pile that had a black ribbon around them. There is one in that pile dated in 13.9.1995 so I guess my grandma wrote about me too once since this pile has no love in it and 9th (my brothers birthday so its stuck in my memory). of that month was when I met Kaarina.

I don't believe in spirits or anything even remotely like it and I don't think I can do anything more than to fix the home with a ton of history even if it means I spend a day sanding down old wood made by a war veteran in the 40's. I called off the bet of all of four pints and some cash and I put an other flat on the market. This amount of personal family history deserves to be restored and the wounds my family has caused to the family of the previous owners can be healed by my kids. My mother's elderly cousin truly enjoys watching this project and she, I call her my great aunt since her mother was it and she inherited the title and the love I had for that old bat.

I'll pay my dues dues in correcting an epic wrong is to fix this house. My kids apparently are fixing the biggest thing gone of all: The family heart.

It is a project I loved from the time I didn't even own the damn thing but every day now it draws me in more. Now apparently saving old trimmings will also be a labor of love (which means time, and busting all budgets). I have to hire a historian and a style expert to get a full picture of the house. Both are cheaper than excavator contractors but with their demands all budgets will be busted. An m2 of wood panels that are 70 years old can be taken down, stripped and replaced in just under 4 hours each. The new side is easy, this old side truly deserves the respect of preserving.

Initial Thoughts on the G20:

I like what BMW did. It definitely looks different than the F30 3er and that is a good thing because the 5er F10 and G30 didn't and that was a bit of a problem. At least it didn't look more different.

As with most G chassis cars so far, the front grill being bigger seems to be a thing with BMW now and I wish they didn't make it as big as it is but maybe it won't look so massive in person because I didn't get that feeling when I saw the X7 in Malibu. It looked okay in person so hopefully that will be the same with the G20.

I am hoping the rear of the G20 is proportionally correct in person because it looks kind of shrunk. Almost like the new Benz A-Class that soon to be coming to the States.

Love the interior. Thank you BMW for that. I can't say the F30 aged well because of the dash but the F80/F82 does better since of the leather bits and CF stuff. Then again, my F80 interior is a tad different than the norm so, I'm biased. I'm glad BMW is doing something closer to Audi's interior since that is something I do believe Audi does better, the feel of their interior is better on the A4 and above. A3 was way to pedestrian, even the darn RS3 w/o Digital Dash.

Also, I'm probably looking at the Accord 2.0T soon, for a DD. If things goes my way, I'll probably end up with a Accord 2.0T Sport then years down the line I'll move my butt into the new G30.

P.S. I am heading on over to Taiwan soon, so see you all in a few weeks and stuffs.

I got a cool little present before my trip back to Taiwan. For the first time in about 10 years, I got a traffic ticket. Not for speeding, but for crossing the double yellow line going into the FasTrak too early. Yeah you read that right.

It has been, so long since I actually had to deal with one I don't even remember the process anymore. Apparently, as the highway patrol cop told, the state is supposed to send me a notification telling me how to resolve it? So, I have that waiting for me when I come back.

Thanks Cali. I should have been a bit more talkative with the cop considering he asked me, "If I am okay." but whatever, I was a bit unlucky and just careless I didn't notice the darn line.

Look, I've spent a better part of five minutes once trying to figure out the leader of that party, Jussi Halla-aho. I can't get that time back no matter what I do in life but I heard her talk in one of the presidential debates. She is smart, well spoken beautiful woman and I truly wish her all the best. With best I mean she gets treatment for her meaness and for her fucking sick views. There is so much evil in her I'm glad she's not a teacher anymore. I wouldn't want her around my children.

I was scraping paint from an old wood and it got off hard. They were like tiny knives thrown at my eyes. I was complaining about it to my adopted (officially she still has her own family but I really needed one cool relative so...) sister and she fetched my great aunts old huge sun glasses and took off the lenses and put them in a condom. Surprisingly youthful solution to a problem. I think she may have spent too much one with me lately tho.

She got it from her car! I used all mine to fix the plumbing in my old house!

I think condoms, tampons and duct tape plus a few cable ties belongs in every vehicle. You can pretty much fix anything with that repertoire for 10 miles at least. Hell, I've once transported petrol in a condom.
