One of the best visuals you can add to this car. I need to do this to mine but like most...hesitant to tear open a set of housings.

Get ahold of a set of spares and tear into it at your leisure.
Day 1 goal of breaking seal on permaseal on 1 light
Day 2 goal of breaking seal on permaseal on 2nd light
Day 3 removal of all parts needing paint
Day 4 Easy Off paint stripping for 1 light
Day 5 Easy Off paint stripping for 2nd light
Day 6 Paint for 1 light
Day 7 Paint for 2nd light
Day 8 Assembly of all painted parts
Day 9 Baking and sealing of 1 light
Day 10 Baking and sealing of 2nd light
That is a proper timeline where you’re never working more than an hour at a time, and no stress to complete the job.

Minimal cost, only needing to buy new OEM lenses, some paint, and butyl glue to seal headlights up.
Done by me!

Do it! It really tidies up the light. I have mine coded out and it just plain looks better.

Are the orange LEDs on when in DRL mode on your US-spec car? Mine are just on when I have either parking lights or low-beams on.

They don't come on at all. When my parking lights are on my DRL's are at about 30-40%. I coded the brightness down also.

10/10 Nice work bro! I'm convinced on the gloss black now. I was leaning towards the satin black to keep it as close to stock But, after seeing this. The wetness of the gloss black looks too good.

Yeah the gloss is amazing. I also factored in that if you have gloss black or CF kidney grilles that the shiny finish carries into the light housing, whereas satin may throw it off a little. That was my design rationale.

so sick! I was about to get my xenon headlights painted, but now im going to buy these headlights first! In other discussions about headlights people talk about modules. Can i use the existing modules on my xenon headlights on led headlights?

Sadly each version uses its own components
Xenon / Pre-LCI Led / LCI Led
Scout ebay and you can decide if buying complete housings, or piecing together will be cheaper based on whats for sale.

Hey sorry to bring back an old thread but I started working on my headlights and was able to get the lens off. How did you take off the eyebrows?

I've removed all the T20 screws and it's loose but there's a lot of resistance at the outside corner when I pull on it and I can't see any tabs that it's caught on.

Thanks in advance

If I recall just keep pulling on it, but carefully and they will come off. I think there is a tab or connection that you cannot see. Sorry thats the best I can do
Good luck

Have any pics of the running lights on during the day outside? That's my biggest fear with this mod. Usually its really washes out the brightness of the ring and makes it look more orange than anything.

Looks great so far though

I would have to look through my phone for pics of my car when these were installed, but I can say definitively that the rings are bright as ever.

I like the look of that!

Not sure I wouldn't be confident enough without a spare set of lights!
