Nope.
It is purely cosmetic and there is no light there. It is a design that kinda copies what the other Porsche car design has been recently. It is literally just a see through glass there, nothing else haha.

Now that's a threesome I would watch.
Still kicking myself for not having the cojones in 2013 to buy that late-model E46 M3 I was looking at when shopping for six-cylinder E82 1 Series'. 6-speed slick-top in Imola Red over M Texture Alcantara with 21k miles. Got the 135i instead for similar money. But I didn't know any better back then. And I'm starting to think I should've gotten a 125i with the N52 instead, to have an N/A BMW for once. E82 Ms were also out of reach back then. P.S.: Had a trackday this week and some guy arrived in a genuine E46 CSL. I obviously had to ask him the stupid "is it real?" question which he has probably heard many times. Well-worn example with 100k miles and the best car there that day... Porsches have become so ubiquitous even in my neck of the woods that I look past them now. More new GT P-cars than M3s nowadays. Funny that no one ever comes in a 996 or 997. Always a PDK 991/992/718.

I would say it depends on what you are going for. Understated or something visually more aggressive. I like both for different reasons but if I got the duckbill I think I would always look at the wing and wonder. If the duckbill was more pronounced like the new Sport Classic then I would go that route.

I like both for different reasons as well and I really like the Sport Classic duckbill as well. The SC duckbill is aggressive in a way that I feel I might need to mod my car to be able to pull it off. I could get away with the other two wings with my car in its current state. |

The big surprise to me was that I preferred my car’s current steering. CS on G80 * spec Cup 2s is incredible. Loads of detail, extremely precise, and more confidence inspiring at speed. I found the E46 steering rack to be light & loose, and at speed it wasn’t as confidence inspiring to me. It had that hydraulic elasticity which is usually missing from EPS systems, but the Cup 2s brought that back to the CS as well. It was a nice sanity check because I haven’t driven hydraulic in a while but I thought the steering on my car was really great so this just validated that thought. Now if you put Cup 2s on the E46… that could be a whole ‘nother story.

My 135i has got Active Steering option, which is also hydraulic, and I adore the quick steering ratio. I'm also not as versed in hydraulic vs EPS, my E90 had EPS with Servotronic and I honestly couldn't tell shit. I need to get the CS EPS coded on the F80. Got ghosted twice by kubax86 so need to find someone else any suggestions?

I would say stick with the OEM spoiler. It probably does a better job aerodynamically than the fixed ones as the former was specifically designed for the base and the S.
I prefer the simplicity of OEM for the Carrera S whereas I would prefer the fixed wings on a GTS or a GT3.

The CS uses the GTS steering coding. I did GTS steering on my old M4 and it was a very positive improvement. Outside of that suspension, alignment, and tires will have a massive impact on steering feel as well. 0 toe and some camber on the GTS tune is very darty in a good way. Bummer about Kubax! Any coder should be able to do it though, it’s just a tick the box item on the firmware from what I understand. I’d definitely recommend it as the center dead spot is removed and the return to center is more apparent.

I'm very limited in terms of tyres and jelly you've got the G8x Cup 2s. I can only run original Michelin Pilot Super Sports, Goodyear F1 Supersports, or Yokohama AD08 semis. I've had two sets of the Michelins, two sets of the Goodyears, and might give the Yokos a go once my current rubber goes bald.

I'm not typically a fan of Orange, but on that GT4 it looks damn good!

Pretty much - you can have any color your want, as long as it’s a shade of silver/grey
