Yes, but you will need update of the firmware first.

Yes, exactly. Your software doesn't allow for Fullscreen CarPlay so we need to update your headunit first.

+1 for Kubax, did id4 -> id6 flash and some GTS coding, he was extremely helpful providing all the info and answered all my questions. The whole process was effortless and even tho I had some internet issues, Kubax was very patient and helped me through. Thanks again and would recommend to anyone!

First off, shout out to kubax86 for his quick service and and instructions. Ran through setup and everything looks good on the car's end.

I am having connectivity to CarPlay issues though. I've cleared the phone from the iDrive system, removed any previous connections phone-side, and have hard reset both systems, even having left the vehicle off and leaving it for several hours. I'm still getting an "Unable to establish connection" issue when trying to link the phone's CarPlay, this is on iOS 14.4. Bluetooth alone works fine.

Anyone had difficulty on the connection?

Edit: To the above, kubax is the CarPlay wizard. Prompt messages and had the solution on the first try - which in this case was making sure the phone was manually connected to the CarPlay wireless network once pairing began. Thanks a ton!

It is possible to update my the HU to full screen with out having to flash it with Enet cable? If so how much will it cost? I am based in the uk? Thanks in advance.

It needs flash with ENET cable but the process is really fast and painless. It's done remotely by me.

I appreciate that the only way to update my HU to full screen is via a remote flash update, but the thought of doing this update remotely to my car without a voltage stabiliser attached to my battery doesn’t still too well with me if the update was to fail half way through for any reason!!

We've done tons of updates and it never failed. You just need Battery charger/battery tender or another car running connected by jumper cables to maintain stable power supply. Anyway flash is on our risk, if something goes wrong, it's on us.
