What I find surprising is that the M4 looks so similar to the outgoing E92 M3. I doubt anyone but enthusiasts would even see the differences. I don't feel the same way about the new M3. I was never a fan of the E90 M3 as it didn't come off as that aggressive. The new M3, particularly with how the lines from the front view narrow down, looks a heck of a lot more powerful and expensive than the old one. If only they could fix the hood line.

Both cars look good in M version. I would have liked if they would have retained some sort of hood vents for cooling purposes on the new M4.

I like the way the F82 looks overall, but there's only one V8 M3! I'm glad I own one!!!!

The E92 LCI rear is beautiful. The F82 is okay. The F82 wins in every other aspect though.

Yeah the new interior looks like a HUGE upgrade. I definitely prefer the look and aggressiveness of the new ///M4. I personally never liked the looks of the current M3.

i have a fully loaded F30 335 that sits next to my fully loaded E92 m3. and i gotta say i prefer the E92 interior more. the new F interiors do not flow as good if you ask me. even have friends that make comments that ask why BMW put a ipad in the dash. or does that navvy move ? does that screen come off ? etc... not to mention there is still a lot of the E92 interior components that are simply rearranged in the F80. the whole I drive setup is the same, but the location of buttons is different. not to mention they increased the size of the rotational button, which i HATE!
although i must say the E92 interior pics would look bad to some if you only go by picture. but when you sit in both cars and get a feel for it. your view could change. before someone quotes me and says typical E92 response. just know if the M4 came with a different style of engine i would get the M4. even if i like the e92 interior more. and i will not debate any engine topics on this thread. to me the F80 interior is good enough for me to still want the car, if it had the right engine. |

Saw a white 435i m pkg driving by yesterday and i couldnt stop looking at it. It looked much wider and longer than i thought. Definitely reminded me of a5 proportion. It did seem like it was a class above 3. M4 will have a killer presence on the road...

I just don't understand how anyone can look at the amazing new full leather interior, seats, Dash setup of the F8x and tell me that the E9x is anywhere close to its league. I mean to me the upgrade finally competes with Benz and Audi and will draw many new customers that always felt the beautiful outside never matched the so so interior of a 70k+ car. I decided to go with full leather option finally now being worth the money after always being so indifferent about it. I just simply can't wait to spend quality time driving this thing and taking it all that leather smell.

One thing is clear, we all love our bimmers...and even more so our M's.
There will be an M for everyone, (e36 if you want it, e46 if you want it, e92 if you want it, and now the new blood). I've been fortunate to have 2 e36 M's, 3 e46 M's (including the comp), and an e92 M. For each iteration there were always haters of the new and loyalists to the old. And over time, some things grow on you and you start to like the new (I did at one point think the the e46 was the peak). As for turbo engines, you give up the sheer thrill of building to high revs and getting that linear acceleration. But you get the peak torque around 1500-2500 which is where life exists in city driving and rush hour traffic. The V8 of the M3 and the V10 of the M6 really are the pinnacles for me personally - but I cannot argue with the effortless high speed plow I get now with my M6 GC - and the amazing rush it evokes from everyone whom is in the car enjoying it with me. It's not worse, it's not better, it's just different. And so too will be the new turbo 6. I say we just continue to enjoy what we enjoy, have our cake, and eat it going 162mph (personal best). |

i think overall the F80 exterior wise is great. interior wise is OK IMO. i think i will always have more emotion toward the E92 no matter what. but i do plan to upgrade to another car sometime within the next 2-3 years. first off i never said i will probably buy the M4. you took that out of content. i said if everyone ( competition) moves to small displacement turbo engine than i might look into getting a M4. than i will have no choice. |

You have not exactly been a proponent of the F8X. I can't for the life of me understand how you would still buy this car with all your negative comments towards it. |

usually most people in specific car forums stay in that forum because they love the car and want to get it in the future, or they own one currently. to me, it seems like you belong in e9x forum (or maybe even a porsche forum) and have a great time glorifying the vehicle. |
