From F10 ///M5 to F80 ///M3
Dear All,
Has been ages since I posted something. I really loved my Singapore Bird F10 ///M5. With some tweaks, I most cherished the moments when I passed GT3s and beefed up C6/C7s on straight-aways with ease (only for them to quickly catch up on technical parts). I don't know how many of us share the "one car has to do it all" conundrum. If my family had no say, I would be sitting in a 991 GT3RS but they have a say and thus my options are limited to "you can have whatever four door sedan you want". I think I found it: So far I have only official BMW add-ons: CF Splitter and rear wing, couple of black and CF details in and out, performance exhaust and electronic performance steering wheel. So, let the aftermarket frenzy begin. Let me know what mods you would add, I am looking mostly for performance enhancing, will likely restrict cosmetics to replacing reflectors. Glad to be here ;-) H

Did you sell the F10? If you didn't or at least have some rotors left over, there are many of us on the forum that would love to know how your F10 rotors fit these CCB calipers.
Love your car. I love the CCB. I was lucky enough to get the green light from wife for 2 doors. I told her the kids don't care. I was right. Agree GT3RS is the car I would want money no option and single. I do love this car. My last was E63 Merc with the 6.2 naturally aspirated engine. The exhaust sounded better in the old car but this one is way more fun on the track. Enjoy |

Yes, MW, my photo app went a tad wild on the color tones. SO interior.

Yep, F10 is gone, traded in. Again, one care only ;-) Still getting used to the Akra exhaust sound. I think one of the first mods will be the exhaust valve remote.

Btw., not so thrilled about the golden calipers. Why didn't BMW just make them red?

Good looking ride thus far. I just came from an F10 M5 as well. I am really, really enjoying the F80. They are two completely different animals, each with pros and cons. One would have a hard time arguing that the F80 is simply put, "just more damn fun." Agreed about the sound - hoping an aftermarket exhaust helps. Try an intake - I installed a BMS intake and was very audibly pleased

So first impressions: #unbelievable #awesome #lovinit #noregrets
Went out with a couple of friends yesterday night for a white knight cruise and had a blast. The ///M3 had no hard time to keep up with the mighty fleet. I love the wheel squeak when shifting under full load all the way through 4th gear (with MDM completely off only of course ;-). I will give you all a more qualified feedback in due time. Today I am just utterly destroyed as only 24 hours into ownership some stupid jerk rear ended me in the morning. Not really bad but new bumper and just completely unnecessary!!!! More updates to follow. H

ex o is that the intake to go with? I definitely want to replace stock intake. Performance gains is the only criteria for me. Not interested in looks really. Would love to get some more insights.

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1179283 If performance gain is all you're after, then the intake is probably going to be way down on the list. But you will probably get the whole gamut of answers to whether an intake actually gives you tangible performance gains; and the reasons why/why not. I like that MSR one too. |

I would start with a JB4 and Catless downpipes If you have the budget for it, grab the active autowerke full exhaust as well
