Remus muffler + stock midpipe?

ive got a remus muffler thats just been collecting dust for what now seems like ages and was thinking of pairing it up to a stock midpipe while i wait for my AA EL midpipe.

ive never done this before so was wondering 2 things:
1) will there be any sound increase switching to the remus muffler with stock DP + stock midpipes (competition car)?
2) i need to keep the stock muffler + midpipe and was wondering what would be required to reconnect those two? im guessing it will just need to be welded again?

Make sure you have the correct clamps to reduce the pipe IG diameter from Remus to stock midpipe. Also needed for AA midpipes

You will need to cut the stock Midpipe where the muffler meets to fit the remus.

To revert back to stock you need to weld-up that section

thanks, sounds pretty straight forward then.

now the question is, is it even worth doing? e.g will there even be any change in tone or sound increase from this setup?

You'll get a noticeable sound increase by switching to the REMUS axle back
