Simply amazing build! As far aa I can tell you might be leading the charge on F83 builds. Lots of inspiration here as I take the plunge into mod city on my F83 too now that spring is in full force.
Wanted to ask if you had any clearance issues or scares with the front lip/splitter at any point in the winter. I live in Minneapolis, so comparable enough weather, and I daily the M4 all year. I am tossed up on the splitter as I don't like the thought of having to remove and reinstall every year if that was going to be needed. |

Why remove the rear headrests? Cleaner look? Does that remove the rollover bar as well?> Not a mod i would have thought about

biggest reason was for rear view visibility, especially with top up. nothing to do with rollover

nor do windows up unless it's below 60 and you still have your top down, since then you're just badass. |

here in Chicago, I roll with top down in 30's sometimes regarding the wind reflector, it's the key component to keep the cold wind away from the rear and is why I can drive in the 30's. without it, forget about it.

Agreed, the wind deflector is very very important for us "northern" folks. Nothing better than a 50 degree fall day, top down, wind deflector up, and neck warmers on

ha, well I will say this: in MN I was local-famous for never wearing a coat in the winter (cause it was hassle). I could be outside in 10^F weather in a t-shirt and be fine for 20 minutes or so.
In California ... I have coats now. I don't know what it is, but 50^ here is bone-chilling. When I visit MN or WI for the holidays, it's back to no coat. I have no idea why, but below 60 here is chilly! |

Agree with the other comments that 50 degrees with the top down is surprisingly nice with the windshield and windows up and neck warmers on. |

Parked outside of our hotel and the the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan, one of the oldest shopping arcades in the World.
If you kept walking from that pic you enter the Galleria After 3000 KMs from ED, parked at a friend's place near Ghent Belgium Even though it's dirty you can see the moonstone gold in this pic and the moonstone red Moonstone is a really weird color oh... you meant -JLT- well .... what's done is done. |
