Yes, a tad bit too early for solid impressions. Give me a few days.
Now my question: R-comp or Cup2 or both for 1st track day? Did I say I was excited for my co-pilot session?

Stunning and excited to see the car tomorrow! Too bad I can't re-like the OP!

Damn that color is beautiful. I'd probably take that color over many of the individual grays like nardo, grigio telesto/medio only because this is a factory BMW color. The drop aesthetically made the car so much sleeker as well. Enjoy!! Back to my mineral gray peasant M4.

DAMN!!! The lines of the F80/82 alone are so beautiful but the added CS bits and lowered ride height make it even better

Splendid, actually

I was able to beat my previous best time of 1:51.38 done with my 2015 M4 by 1.5 seconds. I was able to achieve a 1:49.89 with the CS without even trying that hard, I was just doodling around the track getting to know the car. When I looked at the laptimer at the end of the session without expecting anything and saw that 1:49, it was like "holy s#!t" . I managed quite few laps in the low 1:50s during the day, so it's not just an outlier.

It's also important to point out that this is with the same tires (275-305 NT01), same wheels (Apex EC-7 18x10/18x11), same brakes (iron rotors with RSL29 pads) and similar suspension tweaks (lowering springs + GC camber plates) on both cars.

BMW really worked wonders to the chassis, that's where I feel most of the difference lies. The extra punch from the engine can be felt coming out of corners, but I was barely 2mph faster at the end of the back straight, so that's not where most of the time comes from. The M4cs just feels at home on the track, more willing do dance and more engaging to drive. It's about how everything works in harmony: the added engine grunt, the lighter weight, the improved aero, the suspension tuning, the electronics tuning (EDC, e-diff, ABS).

I'll post a more expansive review over in the track section when time permits.

Brilliant, thanks for the update. Did you get the car corner balanced yet or just set the heights?

Wow that's impressive!!!!. I had a feeling you were going to break into 1:49 or lower, did you have a passenger in the car or solo on that session?

Edit....if you had a student in the passenger seat he probably had a hell of a ride LOL

So are the CS shocks different than the regular ones?

In other words, do you think the MP-HAS is more suited to the CS, or would it yield the same results on a ZCP?
