But sadly even after almost a month at port/VPC, they did not fix the damage I listed at drop off underneath my front bumper (Cracked the black plastic), and did not do anything to fix the paint flaws that I got in writing from the Welt that they would fix, marked on the dropoff paperwork a 2nd time, and double got confirmation from my CA that they were informed about it. I did get a replacement shadowline trim at least. To top it off, there was a new scratch through the clear on the trunklid and a big nasty chipmark on the side quarter panel that wasn't there when I dropped it off (I noticed every mark). I'll have a chat with BMW tomorrow, since it's really not right to make promises to me and not follow through (in writing!), but despite that, driving the car through some awesome NorCal twisties made me forget about all that and brought that awesome smile back to my face. This car is so amazing.

The 1200 mile oil service was not performed so the car is still bugging about it. Sucks that the dealer had the car for two days and didn't ask to do it either (or even call me to tell me it came in).

Hope you guys all get your cars very very soon! The wait is worth it!

Didn't notice any pulling but you're welcome to swap rides with me next week. Still didn't drive the stick ;-)
Nav worked fine at pickup. BMW Apps and Connected Drive services were not activated but I had that done today along with the 1200 mile oil change. Peter Pan's service dept is not the same location as sales so not sure if you want them to do that for you, you'll probably have to wait longer.

All of my parts arrived today (besides the diffuser - back ordered)

At this rate I may as well frame them and display them on the wall...

Was finally able to get an update that the VPC was working on a bumper issue though. Hopefully this means some progress has been made

Once you get your car, if you can, would you snap a couple pics with just the lower lip held to the car? I'm thinking of ordering just the lip as the "blades" aren't really doing it for me.

Wife called the VDC and was told that the work order is complete and the car is waiting to get transferred to the port either at Long Beach or San Diego.

The car won't reach here until the last week of September or first week of October.

At least thats something... Not sure why a resistor would take so long to replace (or need to be replaced) though. Im still waiting for a reply

They also said that they did no repairs to the vehicle, yet the "work order is complete".

Anyone else with a car in this cursed batch who hasn't taken delivery? Its exactly seven weeks now that my M4 has been at the VPC at Port Huemene. It got there Aug 12. My dealer can't get any information as to the delay. The car was supposedly in released status briefly, but then they changed their minds. Meanwhile, I've sold my previous car and have been driving a crappy rental (which stinks of smoke and airfresheners) for a month. I've lost hope now that I'll even ever get the car, or that when I get it, it won't be a lemon. Its got to have had serious problems to be held up this long, right?

Tell your dealer you would like to make a complaint to BMW NA. That will hopefully move the process forward
