U.S. 2016 M3 LCI / M4 New Standard Equipment and Changes (Sakhir Orange returns!)

I would enjoy if my m3 came with CA and H&K standard. Those two and a rear camera are the only things I "wish" my m3 had sometimes. Nice decent upgrade to the base model while keeping it a stripper

In fact, I would suppose that, like the IDrive update, other interior changes included in the 3 Series LCI will propagate not just to the M3, but to the 4 Series and M4 as well. Things like the chrome accents on vents and knobs apply to parts shared across all of these cars, so it only makes sense.

I would assume you are correct, however the only reason I can think of that they might not be is because they are made in different plants.

To the extent that that might genuinely be a factor, remember, the F82 M4 is built in Munich with the F30/F31 3 Series and F32 4 Series. And the F80 M3 and F83 M4 are built together in Regensburg with the F33 4 Series.

Yes! CA added and I was going to add HK anyways based on reviews. This is much better news than the exterior and interior LCI changes which for me was meh.

Totally agree. The H/K and comfort access are much much more valuable upgrades in my opinion. This is a nice standard bump. I won't lie, I miss comfort acess on my car. Hopefully they don't increase the base price too much.

If you noticed, the cupholders are fundamentaly the same as pre-LCI. What changed was eliminating the forward storage bin/12V outlet so the LCI sliding cover can slide forward. So only the top trim of the center console changed.

Understood. But I still think it's weird there's no written confirmation to offset the potentially botched PS.

There is no other information regarding a Competition Package at all. I'll monitor the database and see if something gets updated.

When the F10 LCI was announced, the Competition Pack was announced the same day. I've about given up hope for it to be available for MY2016. I don't feel like waiting on a new car until MY2017.

As cool as these changes, std. features are, I just put an offer in for an available MY15 M3 allocation.. gonna see if the dealer bites. If not, I'm not gonna worry about it. I welcome the changes but if I can get the deal I asked for now, I'd do it no doubt! If I do go through with the 15, I'm going to source the euro LCI tails to get dat amber turn signal oh yea! lol

The M3 LCI photos were a lazy showing... same M3 photos of last year with just the tailights Photoshopped.

The B&W Premium system has been listed in the ETK for more than a year. Remember that the Individual Audio of the E9x M3 was an option as well in the E9x outside the USA. This is more a BMWNA than a BMWAG thing.

Just a FYI - according to my source, Sakhir Orange Metallic (B50) is showing as an available color for MY16 F80 M3.

Need to somehow account for these too:

502 Retractable headlight washers
508 Park Distance Control

But, I agree, I was wondering about the future of the Executive package too now that CA and Satellite Radio are standard. They may choose to keep it and add other content such as LED headlights.

I know of an open 15 allocation if you're interested. The dealer won't deal too much but you can try; I just tried and the deal wasn't worth it to me. PM me for details.

Thanks, I had locked onto march rates so I doubt it will get any better. I'm hoping 2016 will be same rates

Correct about the two new Individual colors. They are:

Smoked Topaz Metallic (X12) and Champagne Quartz Metallic (X08)

This - this is really ridiculous. I'm actually shocked that these two are the additions. Say it with me now, Underwhelming. At best.

Any idea on standard metallic palette changes?
